This is the point at which all those Borderlanders who stuck around during the "Dark Days" between Knoxx and DLC 4 will get indignant at the OTHER Borderlanders who came back only to play the new content. I'm anticipating some flame wars to begin over this announcement.

As for the DLC itself, I think one of the official rules of the video game industry should be to expect every game--EVERY GAME--to disappoint you. If you're wrong, it's a pleasant surprise, but somehow developers almost never manage to implement things as well as you'd hoped. I, for one, continue to advocate for an SDK. This community is just rarin' for the ability to make new maps, campaigns, enemies, and weapons. So why is it only a handful of people can hack their way through the Editor to do that?

the ED isnt that bad. A proper SDK would be nice, but the ED is far better than nothing. I wish i had a sketchy way to make maps and content for BioShock or Fable the way i do for this game. BTW< i cant wait to hear about the New DLC. So exited

I'd like to see some rare grenade mods that do things like atomic blasts or ripple effect explosions.

its hyperion.
from patch:
"It seems the claptraps have begun to 'interface' with
everything on Pandora. Hyperion is, of course, blameless in the matter. Is
it our fault that our hardware is too compatible? Still, out of the goodness
of our hearts, we have developed a four-part containment plan that the boys
in marketing call 'Operation Trap Claptrap Trap.' With your help, I'm
certain this enterprise will be a fruitful one."

I really haven't played Borderlands since it glitched trying to get all the trophies for Knoxx. I can't finish the "It's Like Christmas" mission, or the one completely identical to it, I forget which. After killing Craw eight billion times and getting not a single Pearl, I gave up. I'll prolly buy the new DLC, play it, and then stop until BL2 comes out. I really hope it expands on the FPS/RPG thing, like adding more than just one skill and buff trees >_>

So, will Interplanetary Ninja Assassin be the new Crawmerax?

looks like garden variety end boss with several "subbosses" in the way. hard to tell from very amusing subtitles though. but if i did not mention before it _is_ Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap.
