Looking for the full Registry Path & Valuename for the Borderlands.exe on:
xp32
xp64
vista32
vista64
win732
win764

I have win764 but want to compare it.
For example mine is:
Folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\GameUX\Games\{6C506FCD-6F54-47CC-963F-B0057B925CA3}
ValueName: AppExePath
ValueData: D:\Gearbox Software\Borderlands\Binaries\borderlands.exe

Any info on these is always appreciated!

That is for Steam on Windows 7 64bit
The numbers can change yes? So it is somewhere in Games but the numbers will never be the same.

I assume you mean borderlands.exe, not binaries.exe?

I'm on win7/64/Steam and I do not have any path to borderlands.exe anywhere in that hierarchy. My HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\GameUX\Games\ has guids for Starcraft and GFWL, that's it.

I see some paths to Borderlands.exe in the MUICache folders, but I don't think you'd want to depend on that.

Edit: I think this is the correct path, at least on mine:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Wow6432Node\Gearbox Software\Borderlands\InstallFolder

contains c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\borderlands\Binaries

There was no link directly to the borderlands executable in my registry except random stuff like MRU, firewall, etc.

Been staring at code all day..

Thanks for the responses and it looks like they are different per machine in win7. Which changes how I was going to go about reading the registry.
