Default Re: Why is the mouse movement so slow?

I have the same problem with the Demo. The mouse moves extremely slowly even with sensitivity at 10. I don't think it's an issue with the graphic card, as I can turn the resolution down to 800x600, turn off V Sync, turn off shadows, basically turn all graphics options to the minimum and it's still slow. I turn them all to the highest settings, and it's slow. The issue is just the mouse response, because the game itself runs smoothly at the highest settings. I can watch pig-cops running at me full speed, but I can't actually target them because it takes five seconds to drag the mouse across the pad three times. It's a Microsoft Intellimouse if that helps at all.

The other system specs if Gearbox is looking at troubleshooting are:
Intel Quad Core 2.4 ghz
6 GB ram
Vista 64 bit
ATI Radeon 4770 512mb

I realize the video card is dated, but the system can handle Crysis with full visual effects. From what I played of the demo, Duke looks worse than Borderlands, and I've never had any problems with Borderlands and mouse response.

USB mice, go into your windows control panel and turn off precision, that should do it.. It's an old bug with unreal. Also, if its a 5 button mouse, disable those buttons.

Neither of those solutions fixed the problem for me. Turned off mouse precision, disabled the left and right side buttons, and it's still slow as molasses.

Has anyone found a reliable way to disable mouse acceleration yet? It's so sluggish and I'm not enjoying the game as much as I would with it turned off.

-log doesn't seem to work on the full game.

Is "consolitis" an acceptable answer?

Nah, I've had enough of reading about that. The game's out now and I want to enjoy it to it's fullest. Anyone finds anything? Then post it here.

Cheers!

This shouldn't even be an issue, damnit. Having to do all kinds of fixes for the mouse for a current release is just pathetic. Mind you, it isn't just an annoyance, it makes the game unplayable. *Sigh*.....this game....wow.

No.
And don't do that here. Comments like that can start a platform argument very quickly, and such "discussions" are not allowed here.

Do the devs plan to do something about this?

But this problem is almost always caused by bad conversion of console game to PC. Some suffer from it less than others, but all games with this problems are multiplatform with emphasis on consoles. Its almost a game breaking problem that should be reclaimable.
