Making a new account, exporting the gun, and then importing it is a faster solution.

Never thought of that. Thanks Blanktar.

Speaking of Roland's strt-out rifle, here is the code. Notice the prefix. That should tell you something the next time you see a "Rusty Nailer", even though it would be cool as a joke name. If you are adept at aim-firing without a scope, and understand the limitations of an MG, you'll find this pretty decent thru level 5 or so:

gd_itemgrades.StarterGear.ItemGrade_StarterGear
gd_manufacturers.Manufacturers.Vladof
gd_weap_support_machinegun.A_Weapon.WeaponType_sup port_machinegun
gd_weap_combat_rifle.Body.body1
gd_weap_combat_rifle.Grip.grip2
gd_weap_support_machinegun.mag.mag2
gd_weap_combat_rifle.Barrel.barrel1_starter
gd_weap_support_machinegun.Sight.sight_none
gd_weap_combat_rifle.Stock.stock2
None
None
gd_weap_shared_materialparts.ManufacturerMaterials .Material_Vladof_0_starter
gd_weap_names_shared.Prefix_Starter.Prefix__BrickP istol_Rusty
gd_weap_support_machinegun.Title.Title__MachineGun

Here is the start-up red BLR Repeater from the first chest, its really not bad for the first few levels, especially if you aren't so great with your toon's start-out gun. Note the special item grade and material:

gd_customweapons.Custom_Starters.CustomWeap_repeat er_starter_strong
gd_manufacturers.Manufacturers.Torgue
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.A_Weapon.WeaponType_repeat er_pistol
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Body.body2
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Grip.grip4
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.mag.mag1
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Barrel.barrel2
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Sight.sight_none
None
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Action.action1
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.acc.acc_none
gd_weap_shared_materialparts.ManufacturerMaterials .Material_Torgue_0_starter
None
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Title.Title__Repeater

And here is the swatter from the same chest that I personally never see used. Interesting thing here is this gun has a tech level:

gd_customweapons.Custom_Starters.CustomWeap_repeat er_starter_accurate
gd_manufacturers.Manufacturers.Hyperion
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.A_Weapon.WeaponType_repeat er_pistol
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Body.body1
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Grip.grip5
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.mag.mag1
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Barrel.barrel3
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Sight.sight2
None
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Action.action2
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.acc.acc_none
gd_weap_shared_materialparts.ManufacturerMaterials .Material_Hyperion_0_starter
None
gd_weap_repeater_pistol.Title.Title_Accuracy1_Swat ter

And the OP question, here is the one that started all this. I think this would be a hoot to name some stuff with, they should have let it (the Prefix) spawn randomly:

gd_itemgrades.StarterGear.ItemGrade_StarterGear
gd_manufacturers.Manufacturers.Vladof
gd_weap_combat_shotgun.A_Weapon.WeaponType_combat_ shotgun
gd_weap_combat_shotgun.Body.body1
gd_weap_combat_shotgun.Grip.grip3a
gd_weap_combat_shotgun.mag.mag1
gd_weap_combat_shotgun.Barrel.barrel2
gd_weap_combat_shotgun.Sight.sightnone
gd_weap_combat_shotgun.Stock.stock_none
None
None
gd_weap_shared_materialparts.ManufacturerMaterials .Material_Vladof_0_starter
gd_weap_names_shared.Prefix_Starter.Prefix__BrickS hotgun_Busted
gd_weap_combat_shotgun.Title.Title__Shotgun
