funny thing.. this is about the landing in South France, the part of the war where i was planning my old Lost Battalion Mod to be happening. Can't wait to see this, I hope they will be using "real" events and surroundings.

looks like it was made with re-enactors.Very low budget it seems too.

Definately low budget but the original Saints and Soldiers used a small production team to make the film which I liked. It was shot in the forested hills of northern Utah with a budget of less than $1 million. However, through special connections, the production team was able to obtain dozens of re-enactors, extras, and rare period equipment according to wiki.

I love the fact that these people still make an effort to produce a WWII movie, a topic that is very thinly spread along the coast of cinema-land lately. And about operation Dragoon none
the less!! I think this is going to be awesome. As soon as I can I'll buy this movie on bluray or something if only to support the people behind this movie.

There are more WW2 movies that you might imagine but most of them aren't really good and get the direct to DVD treatment.Also watch out for Russian movies ,there are quite a few seeping through now and they aren't all bad according to critics.The only problem is that there aren't any american soldiers in it so these movies don't get much interest.

I normally pick those up, I'm just happy to see a movie about a forgotten (so it seems) landing in France.
