Hi, just as the title says my Borderlands keeps crashing either during Loading of a new map, or during a movie (Start up Movie, credits, or Boss Intro movie). My computer specs:
Edit: Should also note that when I say crash, I mean it completely stalls my computer requiring a restart Windows 7 Home 64bit ATI Radeon 5770 4GB DDR3 RAM Q9450 Intel Quad Core 2.66Ghz I've had this problem since owning Borderlands (Although it happened a lot less in the original compared to Secret Armory of General Knoxx). I just recently updated from Windows Vista 32bit to Windows 7 64bit, and was hoping a clean install of windows and the game would solve the problem but unfortunately not. So far the crashes happen most often on the Opening Movie (Starting a new character), loading T-Bone Junction, General Knoxx boss opening video, or the Secret Armory of General Knoxx Credits. Any help would be appreciated Last edited by Mirico; June 11th, 2010 at 12:49 PM. |

try to right click the short cut to baorderlands
and where it says Target: put '-nomoviestartup' at the end so for me it looks like: "C:\Program Files\2K Games\Gearbox Software\Borderlands\Binaries\Borderlands.exe" C:\Program Files\Borderlands\binaries\Borderlands.exe -nomoviestartup This will just skip the movies |

My Borderlands keeps crashing in the credits movie when the alien is hit by the van, but I could just skip the movie. After I get off the bus, there would be a loading screen and it would crash just then

^you do not have enough RAM to play the game, a minimum of 2GB is required

Put everything on lowest settings (even lower the resolution) and you might be able to run it, however, I doubt it'll run for a long time, borderlands uses 1.2 too 2gb of ram for me
But 1gb won't do, especially not if you have other programs running and knowing that windows also uses ram, chances are slim you'll be able to load the maps Try a lower resolution as well as lowering all settings to minimal and turning dynamic shadows off Greetz Apple-Guy
