i need help with a side mission...

Hi guys. I started my game with 3 other random guys on XBL and they were rushing around doing their own thing. Anyways my problem is with the quest where you run through the electric fence to get a fuse to fix a elevator. When the other players were rushing through the game they deactivated the fence and broke the generator before the mission was unlocked. Now I unlocked the mission and I can't get the fuse because the electric fence is still broken. What can I do? I want to do every mission in the game. Also, I would like to know if there is any advantage of having a Borderlands one account on the same Xbox profile. I played BL1 on a different gamertag and want to know if I should use that gamertag for perks in BL2.

This fence deal seems to be a problem. Not sure but someone here can help you out that knows more. As for the save from the first game yes you get an extra head or skin from having a BL1 save on your system.

if BL1 save data is found on your drive, they award you another gold key. true story.
