I signed up for the Software Shift thing and linked my Steam account to it, but when I go to Extras->Shift Code, I can't seem to connect. this little thing pop's up and says "authenticating" for a while, then a window pops up that says "Cannot connect to Gearbox Software Shift at this time, please try again later."
I just want my golden key, can someone tell me whats wrong? I had that bug with .NET 4.0 when I was installing, but I said no to the restart and the game started, so I just forgot about it. is that the issue? |

I have the same issue...Yesturday I could go to the Extra's and there was a new messege there letting me know that I have a Golden Key coming and I got in in-game but now just stuck on Authenticating...
I know there were some issues where people were getting all the golden key's they wanted by changing some files on PC so thay might be trying to fix that. I just hope they get it fixed soon I dont want to miss out on anything. Michadude |

Ok, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me. Must be something with the patch they put out that is messing with it, I guess I'll give it a day or 2.

Same problem here, I've been trying since yesterday but it always says "cannot connect..." :/

I have the same problem, tried the "sort of" solution closing steam, open again, verify cache, start game (and restart steam and then start game too) and nothing helped.

My hypothesis is that the database/login server(s) are over capacity due to the fact that it's a brand new system and there are a LOT of players coming out of release. The main Shift webpage has no issues currently, but that wouldn't directly correlate to connectivity issues in-game.

I can confirm that the issue is not due to the login servers or database being over capacity. We are currently investigating an issue with verifying Steam users, which leads to the error described here.

Hi guys, I'm not sure if you fixed the issue or not. I'd just like to mention I registered to shift fine yesterday. Could log in from the ingame menu at any point. Today i'm experiencing the same issues as mentioned in the post.
Just thought i'd mention it incase you thought it was fixed. All The Best DP
