Anyways, I think they could announce it as soon as this week. Most likely, it won't be announced until next week with release being three weeks from now. This would either coincide with, or hold people over until, the new dlc. The latter of course, would be if they are pushing the last dlc (or level cap increase) back a few weeks.

A shot in the dark here.......maybe Gearbox has only shown the silhouette for a reason. Maybe they're wanting to surprise us with the re-appearance of an existing character (in a new form). TK Baha maybe? A clone of General Knoxx, or even Mr Torgue? Perhaps their vagueness in the reveal is for added effect for when they do show him?.......hell, it could even be Claptrap controlling some sort of a humonoid shell!!!

I thought this too, and along these same lines you could also say it could be a spoiler for the expansion or dlc4 or something.

Or they could be jingling keys in our face to keep us preoccupied.

It's more than likely that the new character may surprise us all. A list of characters which didn't make a return in BL2 may end up giving us the answer (or narrowing the options at least)

I was thinking the same thing tbh. It wouldn't surprise me if they used the model for a crusher/brute and modded (or heavily modded) its appearance. Saves some time, and it isn't like I care. For all we know half the characters could be remodels of enemies (Axton/zero generic bandit, sal and Goliath). It would explain the silhouette looking at way, after all.

Either way, dude looked beast. I doubt it would be a dud after they dropped Gaige.

Well, I read all the posts and did not see this mentioned so I thought I would add it. I attended the session with Matt and Jonathan. They immediately said they are working on fourth DLC for current season pass. They also mentioned that Brick was the least played character in BL1, something like 16%. They said that Borderlands will always be character driven and always have lots and lots of guns. They said for this new class they are considering the following: 1) idea of stacking 2) risk/reward skills and 3) the lack of a super aggressive close range brawler. Then they showed the teaser.

Those are the facts. Their presentation was one on the development of the characters and roles of borderlands. Their main thrust was contrasted with the role they play, they want their characters to have personalities with histories and relationships. I was happy to hear their thoughts and found that I easily believed they love their creation.

My opinion is that they know Brick was not popular but see a need for a close range killer. It does not predicate that the new class will have melee as its action skill but all evidence does point to that direction. I like the idea that it is Roland brought back to life [degib], it is a little creepy and dark but something I could see them doing. I also like the thought of a corrosive concentration [Iron Wall]. Both of these posts in the thread were clever ideas. I have no doubt Gearbox can produce similar clever ones.
