Default Borderlands Add on Packs - How to install them

Hey guys,
I've figured out how to access and play the extra contents of Borderlands.

Currently there are 3 available add-on packs to choose from. These are...

- Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot
- The secret armory of General Knoxx and
- The zombie island of Dr Ned

To install them you need to do the following. (This is for the PS3 vesion of the game only however I imagine that the xbox, PC and other versions of the game will have a similar process)

1 - Plug your ethernet (internet) cable to the back of your PS3, go to the PS3 store to purchase which add on pack/s you want.

2 - Once purchesed, you need to download the content from the PS3 Store onto the PS3 console (You can check the status of the download by going to the Network section of the PS3's XMD Menu and selecting Downloads)

3 - When this has been completed, the new content will appear in the Game section of the XMD menu and you need to install the downloaded contents from the console to the game.

4 - When this has been completed, make sure that the Borderlands disk/CD is your console and launch it (You MUST have your ethernet cables still plugged in at this part). After the 2K, Gearbox etc logo's, a yellow box should appear saying something along the lines of "You have just added (the name of the add on pack) to Borderlands. Go to a fast travel station and go to (t-bone junction, etc) to view the extra content". This yellow box will only appear once.

5 - You can unplug your ethernet cable (or leave it in if you wish) and go and select your character. When this loads, fo to a fast travel station and the new locations/zones will be there.

Hope this info is helpful

Does an Ethernet cable need to be connected or can you just do it through wireless?

Huh? You felt the need to explain how to buy DLC?

Uhm... Thanks... I guess...

This is....a very pointless thread.
Step 1:sign in and go to the store
Step 2: Find your dlc
Step 3:Buy and start download
Step 4: WAAAAIIIIT
Step 5:Click the little icon after dl is finished, wait again, then play.

See,you could have sigged it,not write a 3 paragraph post on it

The point of this was that there aren't necessarily people that don't know how to install the DLC's but I'm sure quite a few were unsure whether to buy another CD for the expansion or where to get it.

Instead of pointlessly trolling and posting negative comments ragging on the OP, why not just thank him if you found it useful and if not, just don't say anything and go read another thread.
