Post Modding in BL2

I think it would be a nice little enhancement in BL2 to keep the availability of modding in the game. If u don't want to mod, fine, if u do go ahead, but make it so that the engine knows that you can't have a shotgun carnage modifier on a repeating pistol and automatically deletes it. Make it so it still has SOME legitimasy (spelling?)

Want a new SMG? make it this, this and this, and no rocket launcher add-ons or super smg firerate and mag size. Maybe a tedior body and a maliwan grip would be fine IMO.

No, no way. The same thing that happened to borderland would happen here. it is a very very very bad idea.

Yes of course. Modding should be in every game. It adds more to the game and increases it's life. Besides, it also bring more people to PC

Was modding in BL1 the cause of all those game crippling glitches? I don't see the use in modding a game that is so easy to begin with. The whole point of the game is FINDING those rare gems, not making them.

Yeah but there are people who do this properly like the create-an-item thread in the bl1 forums where they came up with their own unique style weapons instead of just making one hit kill garbage. I say yeah cuz people are gonna find a way to do it anyways.

This pretty much sums it up.

PC people are very stubborn when it comes to modding. No matter how limited the tools available are, no matter how tedious and inconvenient it is, they'll try their damn hardest to make mods for a game.

If it ends up like BL1 then well... they're already prepared. As for me, I'm a guinea pig tester.

Gotta say yes. I've had a blast on the user-made maps, got guns that were made especially for me, and been turned into a bawss.

obviously only people with an IQ above a certain level should be allowed to do it, but there ya go.

I think yes, but it should be harder to do. This stops stupid little kids from just getting on and making retarded ultra weapons that break the game. Only the people that really want to do it and are at least somewhat intelligent should be able to mod.

OT: i think there should be mod tools, Tools like the UDK/Cry engine SDK/G.E.C.K. ectect. Tools that take a certain skill level to work with. Not tools like WT. Even though we all know that a program like that will surface if at all possible, It would be nice to stay away from things like that.
