Thinking of making another HH sp level

Hi everyone,

as you remember i created an sp level for HH last year while we were waiting for the news of a new BIA which turned out to be the announcing of that-which-should-not-be-named.

Afterwards I kinda set my sights on BF3, which has been taking up a-LOT of my time lately since I'm active in a clan which hopes to achieve something in the European BF3 scene.

Anyway. Lately I've been feeling the urge to start working on another new SP level for BIA HH in the spare time that I have left. Why HH? because it was the last BIA I've worked on and I have a rather fresh memory of how everything in that editor works. Crashes and problems aside, I think it will be the quickest way to create a new level for this game rather than start the process of learning to mod BIA RTH30 or EIB and lose interest in the process.

Last time it took me about 4 months to complete the level I created, however I was also busy working on my own BIA tutorial wiki so other people could learn how to map for BIA HH, so it might take me less time this time around.

Thoughts, ideas?

Yes! Please do! I've been so Jones'n for something WW2 and different that I loaded Battle For The Pacific by the History Channel, and uh(!) it's God awful!! I quickly remembered why I didn't like it the first time, and hence I uninstalled it.

Crossroads would be awesome, don't know if you been asked this already but can you do snow with HH editor?

Great episode. Also, one of the BEST multiplayer maps from Hill 30 and EiB. You should redo that for us, but with the newer graphics. For this, I shall not burn your place of residence.

Seems fair enough, i'll try to recreate something like a crossroads map. Only thing is that I know there are no horses in hell's highway, so I might have to alter some things to make it work

did some digging on the happenings of that day.

it's in dutch, but it states that some 150 german SS troops had a major battle against paratroopers of the US army, and they name the specific roads at which the fighting took place. this is good news, as i'll be able to use this to recreate the spot very accurately.

looks like google street view has been on those roads in all directions.. heaven!

judging from the satelite view and reviewing the episode earlier, this must have been the direction they were coming from (running towards the right side
