Default Question about use of PS3 controllers on PC version

So, I've got a friend who recently bought a PC and is getting borderlands 2 for it. He is an avid PS3 fan and really wants to play borderlands with a ps3 controller on PC. I know that this game will have xbox 360 controller support, but I have no idea about PS3 controller support. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!

Theres no support for the PS3 gamepad unfortunately. Though you could likely find a logitech or other usb branded rip off.. Youd have to manually set key values maybe

You can get a PS3 controller to work by getting a program called MotionJoy. You also need a USB hub to power the controller. It takes abit of tweaking, but PS3 controllers work perfectly afterwards, like any other controller. I got one for my laptop and it rocks. Played BL1 and other games, no prob.

AWESOME. Is there a specific website/tutorial you could link me to that has step by step instructions?

I made a post couple of months ago, when I got it. Let me see if I can find it.

Found it:

http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/sh...ostcount=23501

Note: You might need to set up the local version to work, as the online one doesn't seem to be working now. Just copy paste this stuff and click on Local settings to get the prog to work.

Another option is a program called "SixAxis Driver." It basically disguises your PS3 controller as an XBox 360 controller (which is setup to run with most PC games already). Allows you to easily map the controls how you want as well.
