Gamestop Oversold... so much for founders club/preorder bonus

Livid doesn't even cover it right now...

The charge for BL2 VHE has been pending for the last 4 days. Then today (release date) it falls off my credit card completely. Not charged, not pending, just gone.

Note that I preordered on July 20th so this wasn't some last minute BS.

Checked my order status and it still says "Open".
I called Gamestop to ask them what was up and I'm told (after being put back on hold for 20 minutes) that "there were some issues with the stock" and they would reach out to their merchandise department have call me back.
Now I'm being told they can reprocess the order for a 'standard edition' but would be unable to fulfill the preorder bonuses (Free mechro, arena/ moxxi RL, founders club preorder bonus weaps etc) as it would be a 'new' order.

And to clarify a bit, I'm not only pissed about this for the normal reasons...

- This was a birthday present for my wife.
- her birthday is this month
- I took a week of vacation this week so we could co op

Not to sound like a d word, but that's why I always preorder at the store. No putting me on hold for 20 minutes.

Sucks but that's life. Some important things to think about:

1) Buy it from somewhere else
2) Get a better present for your wife

Look on the bright side, you don't have the game so you can't experience any problems any of the Steam people are dealing with and secondly, at least you can buy the game right now if you wanted to.

They're not the only supplier having this problem, HMV have over-sold too and people aren't getting their pre-orders.

man that sucks they wont offer you the premier club
seems a lot of companies over sold an are just cancelling orders without offering the same pre-order bonus. id be extremely annoyed about that. i mean if they had told you this yesterday you could have pre-ordered elsewhere an still got the premier club. but to leave it until release day an effectively screw you out of the premier club just takes the friggin crumble right out the cookie.

hopefully gearbox can offer some sort of compensation to those that got royally screwed out of their pre-order bonus' its not fair to the customers that you should loose wot you paid for because of someone esle mistakes.

And now.... GAMESTOP HAS CLEARED MY ORDER COMPLETELY from their page (Glad I got a screenshot earlier before they did)

Dear Gearbox, I know they do a lot of business for you... but Gamestop is the worst flaming pile of skag **** ever. I would love to shove a Skullmasher up their *** and pull the trigger.

Now I'm just depressed.

Yeah but Gearbox would have no way of knowing who was screwed. It would be cool if they just unlocked the disc so everyone got it. Compensation for the bs so many went through.

I will be calling my Gamestop at 10 am to assure I don't have the same problem. There was no midnight release so I should be fine though.
