Default Rescue Roland/W4rden mission

OK, worked my way through the dam, shot everything that had to be shot, killed all the robots, and eventually got to the point where I had to destroy W4rden to save Roland.

At this point I ran out of ammo, so I ran round the corner to the Fast Travel Station and went back to Sanctuary to get me some ammo. And that's when the game went completely wrong and I gave up in frustration.

When you fast travel back to the dam, you spawn back at the start of the bloody level! There is no option that I could see to pick the one I had just used, so you have to run all the way through the level again.

And that's when the second thing happened. I don't mind all the bad guys respawning, I am saddened to see that unique bosses still respawn but the fact that all the doors I had opened on my first run through were now closed again?

You have to kill every enemy again to trigger the door opening events. So my plan to "just run like hell and drop my turret" went out the window, played a little through it and then gave up because I couldn't be arsed to do it all again so soon.

Why put a Fast Travel Station in that you can't return to, and why reset the trigger events on a level you have just cleared?

Apart from that, brilliant game, loving it

Technically you only have to kill the enemies in the door room, the rest can be skipped.

I was so happy to see that Fast Travel Station that I immediately used it to go back to Sanctuary so that I could sell off my excess loot (whose bright idea was it to set the max size of the backpack at this point in the game at 27?!?!?! -- and where can I find an inventory hack already!!!). I was actually figuring that I would need a 2nd round trip to cash in all the stuff I had to drop.

So much for that idea....

I was hoping this was a bug with a workaround, but it seems they meant it to work this way?

It is a fast travel but only one way. Most fast travels are Blue BUT the yellow ones are one way only so yes, it is meant o be one way ticket back to Sanctuary.

Pretty much this. The yellow ones have a "No U-Turn" symbol on it. Luckily I noticed it before I made the same mistake :X
