Default Upgraded graphics card ... and disappointed!

So, ive upgraded from a GTX260 to GTX970. And.....NO improvement in graphics quality. And yes, all my Video settings are maxed out. The only difference I noticed is the gameplay is smoother (higher FPS?), and more explosion debris are scattered around. But other than that, a card from 5 years ago was just as good. Duh!!!

Why doesnt BL2 come with high-res textures instead of the same pixelated ones that BL1 had?

Because it was developed for the limitation consoles have. That and GBX never released a high-rez pack like Bethesda did for Skyrim.

Real anti aliasing

http://www.mkausgamer.com/borderland...-post-process/

You could also go to C:\Users\YOU\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 2\WillowGame\Config\WillowEngine and bump the shadow resolutions up to 4096

and

MaxProcBuildingLODColorTextureSize=4096
MaxProcBuildingLODLightingTextureSize=4096

I also use SweetFX to add a bit of oomph.

The bloody hoops us gamers have to jump through just to get our games looking good

This game was intentionally "retro". That's why talk of super-HD is pointless.

Check out these screenshots of BL2 that some guy had done by tweaking WillowEngine settings.

So far, I havent been able to find what exactly he had changed.

Give SweetFX a try on BL2/TPS.

Ps. Also turn off console of field*. Go to The Fridge and turn off/on, you'll see what I mean. On doesn't always mean good. If you use real anti aliasing via Nvidia Inspector (http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/...-download.html) it even adds a horrible jaggy shimmer effect.
I'd post screenies but it's hard to see what I mean unless you see it in motion.

*Depth of field
