Borderlands 2: Wildlife Exploitation Reserve Quest (spoilers)

I've gotten to the door inside the holding cells with Bloodwing above the door, though this door will not open.

There are no waypoint markers and the one that was there before dissappeared as soon as I entered the holding cells.

I've quit out of the game and made my way though the zone and back to the door again and it still will not open.

I've watched a video online to make sure there were no other buttons or switches to hit and the only other thing that I've noticed that is different is that the control panel that opens Bloodwings door is not glowing green either.

I obvioulsy cannot progress any futher in the game if this quest is broken. Any suggestions?

I ended up joining a MP game where they were just outside the holding cells so I was able to complete the quest and progress through the rest of the game.
