...what an awesome fight. Me and my friends got really depressed when we realized we had to legitimately try against him. We've been coasting by so easily with our Bee's and Conference Calls...and we reluctantly attempted to beat him. After a couple failed attempts...and cursing at the TV...we started noticing trends...mechanics...and exploits on how to take down the trash around him.
After beating him...we were extremely happy. A feeling I only felt the very first time me and my friends beat The Warrior and Terramorpheous legitimately. Hyperious has become our favorite boss fight to date. It requires skill, a good coordinated group...and more than simple "YAAAAHHHH EMPTY CONFERENCE CALL!" Master Gee on the other hand...what a stupid fight.

Exploits in the sense...that everytime our shields got taken out...it's because the boss used up HIS shield...after you get hit...look around and see which of his robots doesn't have a shield...then shoot it.
Eventually we decided the best way to beat this guy was to spread out near the outer walls...and move counter clockwise...and each person calls out which bot is the one without the shield and we all aim for it...take the AOE's as opportunities...instead of cheap tactics. Eventually the bots start dying one by one...and Hyperious is a shieldless punk...and then it becomes a battle of gun skill and evading. I don't mean exploits like glitching behind a wall or anything.

One of the few good things about the DLC was the Hyperius fight. Man what a rush when I soloed him. Just the excitement of noticing the little things he does that you can take advantage of. Took me 3 skill tree resets, and now I have a combo I think I can farm him with.

Agreed. Me and my friends actually don't think the new gear from the vendor is any good...we've got a lot of legendary weapons so these weapons seem a little under powered. Also the DLC was very anti climactic. The head piece for my gunzerker is amazing...and the Hyperious fight...are the only two things in this DLC that were worth my 800 points. Oh and the story between Herbert and Scarlett was great too.
