Recently a few users have begun violating the Xbox Live Code of Conduct by using an external application to maliciously disrupt the experience and sabotage characters of legitimate Borderlands 2 players on Xbox 360.
An update to address this has been released via Xbox Live. For more details, visit http://support.gearboxsoftware.com/e...te-information We ask that players report any suspicious behavior in Borderlands 2 to spotted@gearboxsoftware.com and provide as much details and documentation of their disrupted experience as possible to assist us in our investigation. Interesting, hopefully if this was truly an attack and malicious those individuals will get an xbl ban.
Glad you guys are getting on it, modding yourself is one thing but players modding to disrupt others is just plain bad behaviour, no second chances imo. This is why devs end up locking down games and not allowing mods and user created content, some idiots always ruin the fun. "This is why we can't have nice things!!!"

Hopefully it was an actual malicious attack and this isn't a PR-speak deflection.
We'll see. |

Not sure it's modding "This does not affect players on PC or PlayStation 3". Most of the modded stuff I saw was on PC. Once, I had seen a LvL150 character during my game, friend of mine invited him to the game. Kicked him out !

Thank you so much for letting us know what's going on. We have been dying to find out exactly what's going on with this issue. Is there an ETA on a patch to fix this issue?

Thanks for the post Chris. Only a small amount of all BL2-owners visit this forum, so is it possible force a popup on every Xbox player the next time they start Borderlands 2 and reach the main menu? This way EVERYONE will see it. |

Is this the issue where people show up with above-level-50 characters, and have weapons that are above level 50?? Or is this something new/different?

What you describe is a sure fire sign of a modder. One of THOSE users introduced this issue into the game. Basically someone who tweaked their characters so they could max out ALL of the skills. Typically they show up with some level significantly higher than the current 50 max. I ran into a random player with a level of 420 or so- that I think is what set off the problem for me.

Of course, the only way it could be malicious is if the person who turned that code on knew it would spread just by joining a game. |
