Default Grip Spotters' Guide

Grips are some of the most interesting parts in BL2. Along with the normal brand-themed grip effects, getting a gun with its manufacturer's grip can unlock some nice additional stat buffs. For example, getting a Dahl grip on a Dahl AR increases mag size and reload speed. You can see what grips do in Gearcalc, but since Gearcalc doesn't have any part pictures, some visuals might help; here are each manufacturers' grips for each type of gun:

Assault Rifles
Bandit, Jakobs, Vladof

Dahl, Torgue

Pistols
Vladof, Jakobs, Maliwan

Tediore, Dahl, Torgue

Hyperion, Bandit

Rocket Launchers
Tediore, Maliwan, Torgue

Vladof, Bandit (includes the blade and secretly adds +50 melee damage)

Shotguns (thanks to PyroP85 for a correction - SG grips are the foregrip parts only - the hand grips are part of the stock)
Torgue, Hyperion, Tediore

Bandit, Jakobs

Snipers
Dahl, Vladof, Hyperion

Maliwan, Jakobs

SMGs
Maliwan, Dahl, Tediore

Hyperion, Bandit

thanks dude yeah that's just the gun I happened to have/like before I could ID the grips (w/ Gearcalc). the dahl grip will probably end up being my preferred one; it does less damage than a torgue grip but 2.8 second reload + mag size buff may be hard to argue with

thanks! it seems 2 easy to spot ones are bandit and tediore. bandit always has the metal band, and tediore is always boxy.

Mag size buff I agree with, but playing Axton, I can't get behind reload speed reduction at the cost of damage. Nothing takes so long to reload with five or ten points in Ready that I wouldn't rather have the higher damage per shot.

Also, thank you so much for doing this, I'm always trying to figure out who makes what, I just learned a couple of days ago that the barrel make on an AR changes the name of the rifle.

I know realize why the damage and recoil are so high on Guerrillas.
