Default Social Interfacer vs Critical Interfacer.

I need some help here: I have two versions, one is a Social and the other is a Critical. Both have the same damage stats listed and the only visual difference is the clip size.

Ok, now let's say I don't make any critical hits, does the Social have a hidden added pellet count and outshine the Critical in body shots? I want to know which version is giving me more non-critical total hits per shot fired.

Thanks.

Only one with added pellets is Practicable, with the vertical grip accessory. The vertical grip adds two pellets to a shotguns base (the only one to do so), which totals to six due to the Interfacer's special effect.

To be blunt you can use either one interchangeably.

Alright, so what is the affect of the Social prefix? Should I just keep looking for a Practicable for maximum damage from non-critical hits or should I just keep the Critical and enjoy?

If I were you I'd seek out a Practicable since it will give you an edge and only requires you to farm a vendor versus actually kill things and praying for the best. Plus you tend to get multiple instances of weapons at a time so it's quicker and honestly won't take you long with a save and quit strategy.

According to the wiki

Weapons by prefix:
*Shotgun
**Hyperion
-Critical: Increased critical hit damage
-Social: Increased overall statistics

So I'm guessing the social one you have has the larger magazine size, while the critical one does more damage with crit hits.

Please don't look to the wikias for any information beyond the name of the game. While in this case, it's not wrong, on the whole it's not reliable either.

All the BL1 info is nice, but I've found you're better off at the BL1 reddit, or just here.
