Question True Vault hunter mode and enemies levels vs yours...

I'm currently on my 2nd playthrough with Salvador lvl 33, and on the mission Hunting the Firehawk. I'm having quite a difficult time with it and I wonder, does it help to level up (do sidemissions, joining others game etc) and then come back, or does the enemies folow you level no matter what ?

And one more thing, how do I get better weapons ? The one for sale on vendingmachines and Marcus are not much better than those I already have. I'm also in the need of a good shockweapon since I only have a shock sniper, but it's not a good weapon upclose....

You didn't do many side quests the first play through?

What most people are doing is saving any missions with blue or higher rarity quest rewards until they kill the warrior and start play through 2.5 so the rewards scale to lvl 50. To do this you can't accept them until the warrior and jack are dead. Any missions with a green or lower quest reward are fine to accept and complete.

As far as better weapons if you can find one explosive weapons are handy as they do decent damage against all enemies. I was in the same boat as you with regards to vending machines and Marcus not having anything great. If you've got any golden keys it might help. Also you can try searching for Michael Mamaril in sanctuary as he gives out blue or better items once every game session that you find him.

You can actually do a side missions I with blue rewards in PT2. The key is to not do missions uith unique rewards. For example, the mission 'No Hard Feelings' in Tundra Express offers one of two blue weapons as a reward for completion; however, neither of them is unique, so it's safe to complete the mission. The key is knowing which missions give unique rewards and staying away from them. Don't even accept them until you've finished the story.

I get that, but without decent weapons and increed level, I might not even finnish the story in PT2....

If I finish PT.1 and I'm under 38, I'll run the warrior, til I am 38, this also is a great way to pick up some nice purples to go into pt.2 with

I'm on same mission with my zero at lvl 37 and I still die a bit, so best get to some grinding.. Like previous poster says, do warrior a bit on pt1.. I also farmed Saturn a bit after hunter hellquist dropped a lvl28 bee, so I could down him in under 30 seconds

Yup, like these guys say, if you've got some side missions left, go do them for some easy XP. I'd also recommend putting Moxxi's Endowment in your relic slot for a little boost, and consider taking a run through Lynchwood. I always get a metric **** ton of XP from there. Also, Warrior. Go kill him repeatedly. Next to the Leviathan, he's the easiest boss in the game.

Like everyone else is saying, you will have to do some farming of the Warrior and side missions with high XP rewards. on pt1 I done every side mission before I started pt2 and it helped alot with getting some decent weapons to start pt2. Also, I found a nice Torgue AR helped alot.
