Default A:CM "Bug Hunt" Mode [GBX Posts: #240 / #433]

[START GEARBOX UPDATE]

- Those that pre-order or purchase Aliens: Colonial Marines from Walmart will (while supplies last) receive a code for a free download of the Bug Hunt DLC. This code will not be active until the Bug Hunt DLC becomes available in March.

So, this should confirm some suspicions people had here.

Now, it says a "$14.99 value" - there is a very very slight chance that it could be free DLC considered to be worth $14.99, though I doubt it.

Thoughts?

Yes, this is one of the 4 DLC that come with the Season Pass.

I cannot ******* believe they have this. SURVIVOR = HORDE MODE. EVERY GAME HAS SURVIVOR...be you, some allies, VS waves of AI enemies.

Now this comes along...geeze. Gearbox...you ****** up.

Apologies, but what a joke or should I say an insult to those who paid the full price for the 'full' game to have to pay extra for something that should already be in the game. I bet they will use the same existing maps in the 'initial' release.

Default Spreading the word about Survival

In the last hour I have been in touch with several major videogame websites (including but not only, Kotaku, IGN, Gamespot, 1up) informing all of them about the news many of us found shocking just a few days ago on these forums. That news of course is the fact that Survival mode is in fact not a horde style mode but just another 4v4 game mode. The reason for this was two fold. First and foremost is people should know what they are getting before they buy it. If a person was to google Aliens Colonial Marines RIGHT NOW they see dozens of websites implying or just telling them survival is a horde mode. There is a great chance they would not see the one post from a gearbox employee on these forums saying what it really was. The second reason is to get some kind of response from Gearbox as to why all of these stories were left out there without some word getting back to them that "Hey, this mode really isnt that. This is what it is, thanks" Up until Monday I had argued tooth and nail that Gearbox was the best developer hands down in the industry. And that Randy Pitchford was the best president in gaming. But this changes everything. I honestly feel like gearbox has lied to us. It may be a lie of omission, but a lie none the less. People need to and deserve to know the truth before buying not just this game, but any game.

The Season Pass is only 20$ on GMG, so it's really 5$ per DLC, not 15...but it's ******* insulting, regardless.
