I'll also add I was going to get the season pass anyway BUT I shouldn't "have to" get it or any DLC in order to play this mode.

Honestly, it's not mandatory. No one is forcing anyone to buy this game or the DLC. Is it shady? Sure! But that's business! SEGA probably feels the game that they are selling for $60 provides sufficient value for the money. If gamers want these extra modes... they gotta cough up more dough! Sucks for sure but there is nothing anyone can do about it except send them a message by not purchasing the game. How many of us on the Aliens forums are willing to pass on the new Aliens game? Definitely not me! They got us by the ***** pure and simple.

I'm not condoning this move on Sega's part at all, but seriously. Just get the season pass. I know some people are dead set against DLC in general, and that's where some of the hate is coming from, but this is not a mindset shared by everyone. I love DLC, because it's not required in any way at all, and if I've got a game I play to death, it drastically extends the lifespan.

Yeah, it sucks that Sega didn't let them ship with this. Hopefully the release date indicates that it's going to be pretty polished. At the same time, if you care about the game enough to be posting here, and you know you'll be playing it for a while, just get the season pass.

The fine print says, "Available March 23rd via download." So no, it is not in the game. I am glad they have included this mode though even if it is paid DLC. I am probably just gonna get the Season Pass on sale from somewhere. But I am going to wait and play the game first.

He's right we've known for a while but everybody was in denial.

Anyways as long as it's included in the season pass I won't fret about this.

Well. This means that "Bug Hunt" will be incredible, with weldable doors and vents, and sentry guns, and hug maps to hold off on.... Right?

If I want to play Bug Hunt/Horde mode (which everyone agrees should be in the game) then Sega have made it mandatory - I have zero choice but to buy DLC or the season pass if I want to play this mode.

I will be getting the season pass anyway, I shouldn't have to in order to play this mode though, that's all I am saying.

Again, where is the source? The only information iv been able to find that is real, official news from GBX (and not speculation) was from Feb 4th. Thats two days ago.

Like a lot of people have said, this is entirely Sega's doing. Additionally, everyone notice how it says "A $14.99 Value"? That seems to pretty heavily indicate that it won't be $14.99, but they're instead contrasting to the standard Call of Duty DLC price point.
