WHY IN THE HELL IS THERE NO RECENT HARDWARE LISTED UNDER GPU'S THE NEWEST GPU FROM NVIDIA LISTED IS A GTX8800 AND THAT CAME OUT IN 2007.

i LOOK AT THE LAUNCH LOG AND IT SAYS MY CPU IS A PENTIUM III, EVEN THOU MY CPU IS A 2600K AND IT SAYS MY GPU IS USING SHADER MODEL 3 WHEN GTX 470'S USE SHADER MODEL 5. IT ALSO SAYS MY, OS IS VISTA SERVICE PACK 2, WHEN I AM RUNNING WINDOWS 7 64 ULITMATE.

DO U KNOW WHAT THIS COULD POSSIBLY MEAN

IT MEANS THAT THE BUILD OF THIS GAME IS NOT A NEW ONE

ITS OLD REALLY OLD. THEY DID NOT EVEN BOTHER TO UPDATE IT. ITS LIKE GEARBOX THRU OUT ALL THE TIMEGATE STUFF AND USED THE ORIGINAL BUILD THEY HAD FROM LIKE 2007 TO FINISH THIS GAME.

IF THAT IS TRUE THAT EXPLAINS ALOT
It explains ONE thing, they don't care about this game.

The point is, some ppl found a way to read out what the game rates your pc AND there is a list of supported video cards and what level of detail the graphics are set depending on the GPU. there are 5 levels of detail or presets. what the ppl also see is, the list spports old graphic cards, VERY OLD ones, no newer model like all the 550 560 etc and the 650 660 etc nvidia cards. my GPU was rated preset level 4 and i changed it to 5 and the difference is huge. i think some ppl where rated 5 in the beginning so all the moddin in the files wont change much

sry, is this understandable? i'm no native speaker :/

Sorry for reposting this, but some of those tweaks (e.g. shadows from player/aliens) are MISSING if you play coop. is this coz of the host or what?

it would be cool if someone would manage and maintain modified ini's with all new graphics cards added, all possible settings revised and update it regularly.

I don't really know so much about the unreal engine so I would only make things worse. But the settings that passed my eye seem very plausible and I see a change of delay. Now, the "shininess" of ACM went from killing floor quality to prey quality for me.

so GB could change/unlock these effects in the console versions via a patch?

there is shadow in one of 10 cases! o'neal has no shadows except for one situation, bella half of the times. that is the first oint. in single palyer it works fine. second thing: my torch NEVEr produces shadows. comeone gearbox, this is a big LOL. or is this only on my pc?

er ... where can I find that " list" ?

link , please

I'm pretty sure this does nothing. I don't really notice any difference with the majority of these tweaks other than improved performance.

Could really do with side by side comparison shots as the changes aren't exactly in your face apparent (at least not to me anyway).
