Very good read. I love this kind of feedback and hope you guys will continue in the future.

Some of the humor in the game is indeed over the top, but I never had a problem with it.
I actually enjoy(ed) the cadence of humor / more serious issues, because more than anything it kept me entertained and surprised at the same time.
And the way how Jack is used, most of the time, to negate a bit the darker passages in the story is, in my opinion, a very inspired plot gimmick.

I think most players, me included, just get a bit fed up after hearing the same thing, over and over and over, while moving from Normal to TVHM and now to UVHM.
You should have add an option to mute story callouts, similar to player's callouts. But this is just a consequence of listen to all the dialogue more than 20 times...

But on the impact of that very first playthrough, I applaud you!

Thanks for this.

Good article. I never thought the jokes after Helena Pierce's audio death were funny at all though. Definitely could have used something funny in there, I agree. There's no such thing as "too soon" just "too lame."

I'm glad I'm not considered an evil bastard for laughing at "PBBLLT", and that it was intended to at least be a little bit of dark humour.

Good read. The darkness of this game is what I love most to be honest(even if some of it down-right broke my heart) I look forward to seeing more of it in DLC4.

I don't know what compelled me to read that, as I already know the game is full of dark comedy and all that...

I think I wanted more on dlc4

That read just got me more excited for BL2. My wife literally cried when Boodwing died. I find the tones to be very genuine to be honest. I hope Anthony understands that.

When my godfather died about 2 years ago, it was very tragic and sad. We spent days sitting with the family laughing about his goofy collections of over 3000 1960s records of the Beatles and crying over the loss in the same setting.

To have a game that embraces a wider spectrum of emotion like real people do, is realistic, and honestly, very refreshing.

Thanks for such awesome writing!

The writing is mediocre at best... It failed to capture me emotionally, I hardly laugh at the game (don't ever feel sad for it, either)

I play it for the weaponry and collecting skins, and of course decimating some enemies in my path
