Usually "UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine" errors are caused because all files weren't installed properly from the DVD. Uninstall the game, and try re-installing it to see if that helps.

Some people have more success by copying the DVD to a temporary folder on thier hard disk, then running the Setup.exe from that temporary folder (leave the DVD in the drive). After the game is installed and running properly, you can delete the temporary folder and all files in it.
