I was hosting a 4 player game, and 2 players got disconnected. Both rejoined but they had missed a quest completion, so we restarted with one of them hosting.
Upon joining the game, the disconnected player who was not hosting and I both had our skill points and proficiencies set to 0, and the option to respec was not available (greyed out). Both characters are level 19, and they are basically hosed now -- missing that many skill points and proficiencies is pretty crippling. Anyone have any advice on how to fix this, or if there's somewhere/one else I should contact about this issue? Thanks. Last edited by nothingpants; October 27th, 2009 at 02:45 AM. |

Your report has been heard and we're working on it. Unfortunately there isn't a fix just yet, but when one is available we hope to be able to repair as much of your character data as possible.

Well thanks for the quick response. Good luck with the fixing.
Any advice on how to avoid this happening or what causes it would be greatly appreciated. Is playing single player the only way to avoid this? Also if there's any files or information I could provide to assist with researching this issue, just let me know. |

Why was this thread responded to but not any of the other threads with multiple complaints in them?

Actually they have responded to a few of them, granted, they didn't say much more than a few words, but still.

Same thing happened to me last night.
I was in someones room, there were three of us. Another person joined and the connection went to hell. It froze on us and the little connection symbol popped up in the left hand corner. We got dumped to the title screen. My friend, the host, sent invites back to us and we jumped into his game. Myself and my friend, noticed that are weapons weren't doing the normal amount of damage and then we saw a notice pop up saying that are profs for SMGS was now 1. I went in and checked my stats and all skill points, weapon profs, and my activated artifacts were gone. I gained a level and tried to respec, thinking it would respec me to my level, but nope, I lost it all. Kept all my weapons and slots though. Level 30 Siren. |

Absurd. Losing stats (but keeping your level) is about as bad as it can get for an RPG.
More information would be appreciated, otherwise playing the game is a total gamble. |

Hm, was it possible to level up your proficiencies again, or is it totally done with?

Yes, you can keep leveling up your weapon profs and you can continue to level, but you will never get back the skill points for the levels you lost.
So imagine being a level 44 Siren with only 1 skill point. It makes your character completely unplayable. |
