If they are, that’s great.
So what was that about not coming to the defense of the guy/guys that were being bullied and picked on. Or did I happen to read it wrong?

The other 2 members of my team, as well as the one mainly being insulted (my other 2 friends, the 3rd being my friend who was picked on) were already (and much maturely and calmly countering everything the guy was saying and reassuring my friend and making the jerk seem foolish, basically not sinking to his level.
I KNEW if I went on mic and got involved, I was gonna absolutely lose it on the guy.
This is sadly the reason I dislike playing supports, at least in pvp unless with friends. People will send you nasty messages, talk crap and blame you if they screw up. I had one match where I was playing Alani, working on the lifeguard challenge, and the Benedict on my team started messaging me talking crap because I wasn’t following him around and healing him, though he was airborne nearly the entire time, and we had a Miko on the team as well. I outhealed the miko, and had second most kills(2 kills behind this jerk Benedict) took out most minions, and even took out a sentry on my own, and this dude was still sending me rude as hell messages saying I suck and to kill myself or sell my game, etc, as well as saying most of my healing went to myself, though Miko was sticking mostly around me and the rest of our team, while dummy Benedict ran off.
People are just frustrating, and always like to blame the support because they aren’t being supported in their recklessness. Just because you have a supporter doesn’t mean you abuse them, it makes them much less likely to support you. I’m more likely to let you die.
Edit: whoops accidentally quoted someone before trying to post this xD
Then I applaud you for your restraint.
At the same time, however, maybe that jerk needed to be reminded that people will react very icily with great hostility when he acts like a jackass.
Kinda like if you stab at a beehive don’t be surprised if the bees begin attacking.
So, instead of restraint, perhaps you should let your fury loose if the circumstance merits it. Only if there is merit.
Welcome to online gaming where there’s voice chat. Even though BB is not as competitive as other games yet, you will come across such experience from time to time. Don’t dwell on it, just ignore, forget and move on.
Breaking Character…
I know I’ve said this before… but I’ll say it again.
It’s super easy to blame the healer/support for one’s own lack of skill.
They don’t rack up the big points, so it’s easy to look at score and kills and make quick judgments.
I main support… and I’ve dealt with this sh*t in more than one online game.
All I can say is, try not to let it bother you.
If your team starts being toxic, leave 'em and let them turn on each other like the dogs they are.
As far as the Oscar Mike thing goes…
Try not to let it bother you.
Games are a release… a way of letting off steam so you don’t bring your frustrations into the real world.
Sometimes people are jerks because they’re dealing with a lot of their own issues.
Personally, I like to start singing, talking in cartoon voices, and generally refusing to acknowledge their complaints.
That makes 'em so frustrated…
Thank you all for your support & kind words…
just remember, keep cool and keep in control. People who get mad in the game screw up and typically die and get even madder.
I had an experience like that when a S&A decided to talk smack about me as marquis in a match that was about even. after that I shut him down(and realized i’m a better marquis than I thought I was) all I did was kill him off and taunt him. Even went so far as to offer the enemy pendles a friendly tip(chasing a marquis pas a sentry probably isn’t smart because you’re gonna die if he uses an owl with reveal).
I used these rules working security in the Navy. 3 simple rules to get even without needing to do a thing
I remember this Louis CK bit, where he talks about getting confronted while driving by a road rager, and he just matched their crazy by yelling “GIVE ME BACK MY JACKET, NOW!!! You took my jacket and I want it BACK! NOW!!!”
An absurd reaction to their nastiness is the best response. Or mute and report if it crosses a line. Screw the game and your stats, stop and find out who needs to be reported, and do it. And on Xbox I double report them.
can I just say that your posts make the benedict character 9000000 times better?
Breaking Character…
You may, and thank you.
even when you break character like the above post, it works. it shows benedict can be more than the arrogant ■■■■■■ that gearbox has shown. keep doing what you do!(and apply for gearbox’s creative department and use these forum posts as an example of your writing)
I always go the “Match their crazy route”. If I’m playing Miko and someone starts the “Miko sucks” train, I just jump onboard with “Yeah, this Miko is awful”.
Or apologise and promise to commit suicide, then spend the rest of the game feeding the other team…but then I’m slightly vindictive.
Back button brings of the score menu and X mutes all. Or in your case Square.
