I don’t know much about hoarding disorder, but that’s what this sounds like. You might find therapy more effective than extra bank space. (trying to be genuinely helpful here, not mean, just making sure that’s clear because tone is hard to tell in text). I’d say something catchy and clever sounding like, “Just learn to let go,” but that’s probably not going to suddenly shift your paradigm.
I started with a mule for each weapon type, now I have 3 for some types like SMGs, one for legendary annointeds, one for unannointed legendaries and one for purples I want to keep. It’s getting out of control.
Initially I was going to laugh at you a few days ago for having 30+ mules BUT I got into a bit of a farm spree going by doing the Slaughter dome missions last week and ended up with a crazy amount of decent to good legendarys. Throughout the week I made some new mules and probably going to end up with 7-8 mules when I finish. It is very annoying making so many mules when you can’t skip cutscenes or put money in your safe/bank at Sanctuary but there is no other alternative.
The game with billions of guns and only 50 spaces to store said guns haha. This wouldn’t be such a problem if there were a few solid guns out there but with the way Gearbox wants to balance and tweak and nerf guns you can never be sure when something will go from Decent->Amazing or from Amazing->Trash tier in a single update. That is why I just keep everything. Guns that have 3 elements? I have 3 elements of that gun. I have certain guns for certain characters. Annointed Siren Hex. Annointed Flak Hex. Annointed Moze Hex for example. Then there are multiples of the same class mod but with different stats. Multiple of the same shield but the stats can be better on Flak than my Zane for instance so I have multiples of the same shield.
And I don’t even consider myself a hoarder but having to create multiple mules because I can’t predict what Gearbox is going to do to gear in the future is tiresome and exhausting. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though but I’m just hoping we aren’t going to just get double inventory space (ala Fallout76) and then the Game Developers call it a day and praise themselves for giving us 100 bank spaces LOL.
LOL darn it you beat me to the punch…
Yes I think this topic should be on the A&E network’s fourms instead of here.
Good post, wrong fourms…
I think I have enough mules for the moment. I just have to be more brutal about what I keep from here on out. Good Purples 49 or 50 yes. Most purple or better Class mods yes. Most Purple artifacts yes. As I proceed I’ll start to get pickier as I already have.
I am not in a problematic situation. I’m just preparing. Some items will get better rated later. Some things will be discovered over time as the game is out longer. I’ll look for certain combos of things over time and I’ll have the selection in my mules to find what I’m looking for.
Instead of creating new mules now, I usually load up an old one and end up tossing 30 things that don’t meet the new standards.
30 mules is a bit extreme.
I have 6 and I have room on my last one still
I only keep loot I think maybe worth it.
Some legendaries are just crap, others I dont see ever using, i.e. the lob.
Other side of that is I have all elements on certain guns too. Lyuda, laser splodera, cutsmans, crossroads, westergun…
I am glad to see them addressing bank slots because I’m still after as many mods and relics as I can farm up
This kinda make me want to actually make mules sometime today.
- 6 Weapon types mules
- Shield mule
- Grenade mule
- Class Mods mule
- Artifact mule
- Legendary annointed mule
- Non-legendary annointed mule
I counted I may need 12 mules. Ouch… but I guess I have no choice. I constantly collect and have no room for more loot
