As someone who has not played in about a month (just tired, and trying to spend more time with Fallout 76, which in many ways is more tiring…) coming back today and finally seeing mayhem levels on my weapons was a welcome addition… and while some may not like the Kaoson changes, I think it handles a bit better now… that, and it helps to play an M10 version at a couple of levels below…
Lol wrong on every level.
I love your stuff but sometimes I feel there is a real disconnect with content creators in comparison to even your above average Borderlands player. Especially on console it’s just not the same game to be quite honest.
I have HUNDREDS of hours into BL3 on Xbox and I just don’t even come close to the gear that even people like you use and STILL find this raid difficult/tedious. Having a gun with a god tier anoint in EVERY element just isn’t a feasible thing for even hardcore grinders in my experience. The only way you’d even have a chance at this would be to trade I’d imagine, but even then you are solely relying on the generosity of others. Maybe I need to try and use trading more, but when it’s this essential it kind of ruins the experience for me.
I knocked the raid out solo and felt like it destroyed my soul lol def not something I’d classify as fun in any way. Just the thought of having to do that upwards of 300 times to even get a good drop roll on a weapon sounds like an actual plain of hell tbh.
Again love you and this isn’t meant to be attacking in anyway just a perspective from someone on console who has roughly 550 hours (which is I’d imagine far more than many will ever put in) and is decently skilled at aiming etc in comparison to your own, and it’s vastly different. Maybe I’m just being a sourpuss and that’s cool if you or anyone else thinks so, but figured I’d vent it out regardless.
Totally with you on that. Also on console with around 700 hours and I certainly don’t have god roll gear from farming. Best items I have are from trade. Have a co-op group I play with that also shares ‘finds’.
I play on PC and have, probably, close to 1500 hours of gameplay. It takes time and luck, but it’s certainly feasible and not impossible.
For gear in BL3 the best thing you can do is network with a bunch of people who farm and ‘share’ loot.
I farm, and personally have/had (they don’t play anymore,… maybe after next DLC but they are done) but about 6 others and we get together and ‘share’ loot and could always get what we wanted. Great group of peeps. I miss them.
They have the damage but do they have the ammo short of using some ammo regen mechanism that not all VHS are using? All the vids I saw of runs were using a cutpurse slam.
So putting in 62.5 full days out of the 270 days the game has been out seems feasible to you? Your time management skills must be incredible or you must have far more free time than I do. If you have an 8 hour a day job, and sleep for 8 hours I have no actual idea how in the world you pull this off, but props enough I guess. As long as you think this is worth your time/effort I guess that’s all that matters O.o
I agree.
100% !
I dont agree with you often but on that one im 100% with you. We need an anointment and stats reroll system.
I’ve beaten the takedown solo with Fade away Fl4k on my third attempt (wiped once at the second set of crystals and once falling down at the first boss like a fool). It’s far from impossible but it takes WAY TOO MUCH time.
I can play for 1 hour and a half a day on average and using all my time for a single run is discouraging.
When the Maliwan takedown came out it was hard to solo but it never took me that long to finish once I learned the mechanics.
In this one what makes you waste time is the sheer amount of hp you have to deplete in the entire raid, not the time it takes for trial and error.
Well if both sides of the camp have found some common ground then surely something is rotten in the state of Denmark! lol
Unemployment thanks to covid… Otherwise, I would not have that much time in… maybe half that. Plus, a lot of it is RNG… Maybe I should play the lottery?..
Yes they do, FL4K definitely does, I’m sure amara does just abusing recursion. Moze naturally regens ammo. And I ran it twice today solo with no cutpurse, vod is on my twitch. Build is on my youtube.
Th easiest way is to use a backberner either corrosive electric or fire
With a ase thats corrosive electric or fire. I guess rads sorta ok.
Then cover the other elements with grenade and shield.
Literally get a catpurse lunchpod or catpurse rocketshoe
SPEC TO ASE CHEESÉ… all 4 characters can.
Shoot backburner. Watch tbings die.
Die to falling or urself or crystals
Eventually
Beat da boss
Look at Vanquisher drop from him
Confirm ur achivement mentally
Then uninstall the game till dlc3 or keep it if u gitta bigass harddrive.
GG.
I rather wait for them to fix it
Why the feck is this a valid complaint!!!? Raids were originally designed as a 4 player activity. It was the backlash from the scrub tier from the 1st raid why they were scaled down to party size. My point is this, though the raid was just released it was probably designed years or months ago with the game’s original expectation of being 4 player content. So it just makes sense to me that enemies would be tanky.
If ppl don’t want tanky enemies then DON’T PLAY THE RAID!!!
For a game that isn’t, unlike say Destiny, designed as a pure MP experience gating content is a terrible idea. When the MP matchmaking is garbage, it is a worse idea.
As they proved with MT, it is possible to scale to a 1:many experience so why in the heck wouldn’t they.
UPDATE:
The viability of weapons is an actual issue. I am not saying it should become easy mode, but it currently is a slog which is not as fun. There’s dozens of other mechanics in this raid that are actually difficult, like being forced to stand on a crystal while hordes rush you. That’s some fun ■■■■.
