A few findings about constructors and saturn

I’m sure it doesn’t ‘read’ the elemental multiplier which is 99% proof.

But I am in the process of doing ‘numeric’ tests. THE PROBLEM with doing DOT tests is that Unlike gun/grenade/ability damage DOT damage is NOT consistent/predictable/repeatable … so being able to see each individual damage tick doesn’t help as much as I would’ve hoped. Not even the total damage inflicted by the ‘same’ single shot DOT isn’t the same value between 2 separate DOT activations… The fact the game ‘rounds’ damage before application to ‘rounder’ values doesn’t help things…(source of compound errors in this instance)

Will move further tests on this matter to a new thread …

What’s interesting is that when a character already buffs DoT damage (Krieg for example with BBB buffing burn damage), the buff from the Bone is proportionately less than an unbuffed DoT. Makes me think that DoT damage is on the same side of the multiplier as elemental damage, just restricted to DoTs (so the bone is “additive” to DoT damage).

Of course this is something that requires more testing and not all DoT damage might even operate on the same formula so :rofl:

There are separate multipliers for Shock / Electrocute (electrocute gun/grenade/etc damage and shock is the DOT ). A bone/elemental relic might boost both stats… So the elemental multiplier might still not apply to DOTs … But then again what other sources of elemental multipliers are there in Borderlands 2 ? Wires don’t talk ? - IT specifically states it boosts BOTH shock and electrocute …

I focused only on displaying in my ‘char stats’ the elemental multiplier not the ones for the DOTs. This mistake was probably avoidable if I bothered displaying the DOT multipliers as well - and noticed ‘on the fly’ (COMs / skills / …) what makes those values change …

Wrong lazy right again

(DESPITE THE LYING UI stating Shock) The elemental relic I used does add its value to BOTH electrocute (elemental multiplier) AND ( shock DOT). Separate parameters. So while I was technically correct that the elemental multiplier isn’t used for the DOT damage calculation, the relic which provided a bonus to the elemental multiplier ALSO (shady BASTARD !!) provides the same amount of bonus to the DOT damage multiplier .

"Shock Damage +18% " Increases all damage done with a specific damage type

The test was equipping a Peppy zapper COM which added 0.262799978 (“26% electrocute Damage”) to the DOT damage multiplier and then equipping the (18% Shock elemental relic) witch added 0.177999973 TO BOTH shock elemental multiplier and to the electrocute DOT multiplier .

So with both the Zapper COM and shock elemental relic the electrocute DOT multiplier jumped to
1.440799952

Interesting thing BAR on -off did not alter this multiplier so …BAR elemental damage MIGHT/LIKELY multiplies this value …Can’t say with certitude since DOT math is sadly inconsistent …

Added 5 + 4 wires don’t talk skill points and this jumps to
1.710799932 (gained +0.27 from 9/5 wires don’t talk)
