Well that isn’t really a fair comparison though, because those are the pre-nerf drop rates and will effectively be gone once the hot fix is converted into a legitimate patch.
EDIT: Welp, Derch beat me to this response.

I can kill Gravey/Traunt/Giga in less than 30 seconds with 3 of the 4 characters, some of them in just 10 seconds. They drop 1-4 legendaries every time I kill them. There is no way CoS/PG drops gear faster than that.
This is all online with the hotfixes btw.
@mattm33 When the changes hit,it wont be.You are correct. For now they are fair.
@Faux_Pirate I kill grave for 3 seconds on Amara and its still slower.
How is an average of 2 legendaries/3 seconds (could be 5/3 seconds offline) not faster than 20/4 minutes (only offline)? I think your math needs some work.
Who knows, maybe we will get lucky and they will realize the error they made with the drop rate nerf (and yes, I do believe the nerf was too steep for normal mobbing) and will revert it rather than patch it officially. But my hopes aren’t high.
Its quite simple - Loading times.
And 20+ is an average it reaches 40+ with some luck.
Even if it took a full 60 seconds for killing/loading (which it doesn’t) that would equate to 20 per 4 minutes which at the minimum would be roughly equal. When you add in the time it takes to run all over the PG to check on each of the legendaries after the fighting is done, you’ve easily added another few minutes to your counter.
It sounds like you’re pretty stuck in your opinion though so we can just agree to disagree.
I’ll personally wait until they hopefully add specific drops to those modes before farming them regularly.
I know that but there are around 150 legendary guns only. Those 150 guns comes with 7 parts each with around 3 different possibility per parts( may be more or les depending on the gun but this is just for an approximation) We also have 6 element possibility including Kinetic(no elements) and also a possibility of lets say 10 anointment per class, for 4 class. I know its more but its not important atm. Lets math a bit. so, we have 150 gun with 147 part combination possible. Thats roughly 22k possible combination of guns. 22k guns X 6 elements =132300 guns x 10 anointments over a million possible drop. I know some pretty basic math but it was just to illustrate that we are kinda ■■■■■■ if we want to get the best possible gear in the future. I dont know, mayby i am over thinking here.
Circle of Slaughter is pretty small. And it doesn’t need me to wait for 30 seconds to load/quit.
Also Grave doesn’t drop 5 offline everytime.Majority is 3/4.Per run for 10 minutes my stats show 26+ with majority being a Cosmetic or Graveward Artifact.
I do agree on your point.Load difference can be faster for you and your luck can be better.
For me CoS works better. And it seems for a lot of people Grave and CoS are the go to.So I would not be surprised if there are a lot of fans for both.
We can easily agree on both , I’m not one of those guys that will argue just to argue so yeah.I respect everyone’s input if he is trying with facts.
Absolutely right there
0% coms 2% artifacts (mostly cryo) 0% Shields…an one legendary sniper lmao…noticed an increase in anointed gear here tho…
Its really hard for a singular game to live up to the absurd amount of content we can now basically get for nothing by just purchasing The Handsome Collection, which is why I always try to compare the base game and the baseline of games from a franchise with each other. And if we compare vanilla Borderlands 2 (which had horrible bugs as well, especially texture glitching, loot falling through the floor, bugged out lootsources, bad collision detection, wiped badass ranks and save games and more) with vanilla Borderlands 3 and its own problems, then its almost no contest as Borderlands 3 has so much content already, so many different enemies to kill, items to farm, over 180 legendaries(!), repeatable arenas, Mayhem Modes, build diversity and so much more that Borderlands 3 really outshines BL2 on the gameplay side. Yeah, we might not yet have a raid boss, but I’d rather wait for a good one than getting a second Terramorphous or just an invincible Sentinel 2.0.
For now I personally think that Gearbox should just keep their focus on fixes and work on stability and performance as well as broken skills. All in all when all is said and done and when BL3 has reached a stable build with a moderate amount of bugs, then the game will start to be looked at from a different angle.
Stuff I’d like to see in the near future are more fixes to skills that are not working or aren’t working as described as well as that every legendary item gets its own loot source, even if that means that many named enemies would have 2 or 3 different drops. Thats still better than not having a specific source to farm at all. I for example found the Bitch to be a very fitting drop from our favorite bitch in the game, if you know what I mean.
I still just want a way to increase bank space.
If they redo the whole bank system like every other modern game. That would be unbelievable.
A real progression in their 10 year borderlands history. giggles ironically
