Ohhhh no, I didn’t need the Experiment to know I would love Boldur. Played him in one of the betas or closed technicals.
I have always enjoyed tanking, and I LOVE DWARVES. If a game has dwarves, that’s my character. Besides, what other race has DOCTOR PROFESSORS!? No one, that’s who.
Boldur is best!
The hybrids may be a good compromise for you! Which it seems you’ve already dabbled in with Caldarius. Have you messed around any with Mellka? Her kit utilizes her secondary a tad more than Cad does.
And as far as being mostly in 3rd person. Stack CD reduction and play El Dragon all of his skills pull the camera back!
You could consider Ambre as a melee too. Her secondary attack is a melee and her primary needs to be pretty much melee range to work. Plus, the Jenneret theme had a melee theme to it.
That’s a fantastic suggestion. She USED to have a really heavy emphasis on managing her heat with her beam primary and Solar Wind skill. But they’ve done so much to hamper that aspect of her, if YOU’RE not choosing her level 7 Mutation (The long range fireballs) You’re gutting yourself.
She can definitely be an honorable mention just the same though even for nostalgia’s sake and an excuse to continue working on my lil opus!

I keep myself in pve games, bot versus at the most extreme because i feel bad about not being a strong pvp’er. I don’t wanna be a burden to my team and all that.

If you’re worried about your performance in a live game (and considerate to your team mates to boot despite devaluing yourself a tad :c ) @sbspalding has been organizing a Battle School for the community where many players (myself included) volunteer to coach and aid players who want to tighten their game just a tad or have a no pressure environment to stretch their muscles and experiment/learn.

Yeah, she’s sweet) I’ve mastered her before Caldy. Her jumps with Claw Lunge are mindblowing for the first times)

I forgot I made this, good times! (First time, I dipped my toes into the community, I think this predates most of our staple members today #dinosaur)

Yeah this was originally an easily digestible (consumer approved list style) post, briefly extolling certain unique virtues each melee BattleBorn brought to the table.
It is Absolutely outdated in some respects (specific call-outs to helices that no longer exist or have changed, moving of numbers)

You know what was never in date?
Melee main for life. Although Deande is the one for me.
Also, I loved how you capitalised RATH and then wrote everyone else’s names in lowercase. Totally not a Rath main.

Very good post, I’m happy to see it updated on the front page, otherwise it would have slipped by without noticing 
I main a few melees (Rath, Galilea, Pendles) and man they’re such great fun to be up in the grill of the enemy. I very much enjoy being in the thick of the fight, you can really absorb more when you’re on such a close range. It’s very immersive to see, and almost feel, the slicin’, dicin’ and punchin’ action.
Some grammar issues aside I enjoyed reading through your tribute, made me chuckle at a few points!

I really didn’t like Pendles at first but when I tried him out the freedom was intoxicating, he’s such a unique character to play and I adore it!
