A simple way to keep money and eridium relevant

Some players seem to find money and eridium pointless, especially those players who are deep into the endgame. I’m not that deep in myself (only one 50th level character), but I completely agree with the feeling that cash becomes meaningless once a character has all their SDUs, and spending eridium at Earl’s vending machine isn’t that necessary when legendaries and purple anointeds drop as regularly as they do.

I think a solution to this would be to make the vending machines (both the regular ones and Earl’s) work the way they did in the Pre-Sequel and allow them to occasionally sell regular and anointed legendaries as the Item of the Day. Both currencies would become valuable to players and as a side benefit, losing cash to respawning would continue to feel like a penalty to endgame characters.
