A way to communicate in ps4 apart from mic

Hi!

I’m missing a lot any way to communicate with my mates in ps4. Sometimes, language is a barrier, and people in public matchmaking tends to mute all players just to keep listening their favorite songs, or just not to listen other guy’s voices.

What about the typical quick menu? Defend/Attack-Left/Right for the sacrifices gamemode, Need- Heal/Help…those sort of things. It could be accessed by holding down in the directional pad (a tap for teleporting and hold for communications). I hope this isn’t a repost :S what do you think?

Edit: I think this could be really fun with the personalities of the heroes, if they ask for something with their voice like the storyline communications in coop. obviously, with anti spam mechanics :slight_smile:

Steal from Overwatch! Holding the right D-pad opened up a menu which had a variety of options, ranging from thanks to emotes to calls for healing. You could make it so tapping on the right dpad taunts, and holding it opens up an options menu.

I was thinking more in Paragon! ^^ but I think using heroes voice like a telecom could be really fresh, cool and useful. Or maybe we could use gestures on the touchpad in the controller.

Like in Bloodborne. Maybe that’s how we communicate! I’ll test out the pad next time I play.
