Advanced Difficulty: Is there a point?

u get more XP right?

only need to do heliophage for her, all levels unlock kleese

All missions with a silver Rating in the normal difficulty unlock Kleese, normal difficulty isn’t my problem.

I struggle with advanced dificulty missions and random groups (and solo). Also, before I can even que for Heliophag Advanced or do Heliophag Advanced solo I have to clear all the missions that come before on advanced.

sorry, my bad, meant to put kleese? is hardwork on phone :slight_smile: is it ghalt then…? who cares

i have done solo helio normal hardcore and advance now, not done any other missions on hardcore or advanced, i have deande and am level 23ish. when solo, you change difficulty after mission select

Omg you are SO determined to tell people how random it is. Is it all random? Does the loot have a specific chance of dropping from certain play modes or certain characters, thus meaning it’s random? My friend got a legendary from the algorithm but I didn’t, is that because it’s random? Forget drop rates, that drop rate is based on community feedback but it’s - drumroll - RRRRRRANNNNDOOMMMM.

Haha, no worries. It would be really nice if GB could make an official statement on it. There’s literally no harm in them doing so.

@Kittyshoes
Uhhhhh the same can be said for everyone saying advanced has a better chance

But whatever, this thread has long run its course, g’day

Edit: you say based off of community feedback, apparently my feedback is so different from every other players that it just can’t be possible right?

Lol.

That’s not what I’m saying. In fact, that isn’t what I’m saying at all. Random is random is random is random is random, blah blah blah, just like you constantly reiterated.
However, if we are going to base anything off of video game logic, the people who believe advanced has an increased drop rate of certain items are generally gonna be correct. Any loot-based game I’ve ever played has been so. Just saying.

destiny says sometimes random isnt quite so random as random might be, and also sometimes too much random is as bad as no random

You spin me right round

All this circular logic is makin me a little dizzy… and nauseous…

I think I need off this ride

@STELFninja

for a moment there i thought you were referencing this https://youtu.be/PGNiXGX2nLU but then realised you weren’t, sad times, i did get to watch an amusing youtube video tho, can you beleive they ever took this serious?

@STELFninja

Actually that was the reference, didn’t want to put the “baby” in there, since I don’t know you one bit.

Didn’t seem right to me lol

ha, well in that case i would have attempted to respond with another line, but well the moment has sadly passed

Random but the chance is higher inadvanced, I just got 1 lol

No, not at all. People get more legendaries in a single normal mission run than i have in over 100 advanced missions.

This. So much this.
People are wasting there time running advanced/hardcore.

Maybe they have more chances of legendaries in normal because it’s easy and thus they can do more levels in less time? Just a theory tough

Efficiency is key in this game when missions take 25 minutes to complete.

So after running advanced missions in public since the release of the queue I can say that I have found ZERO legends form them.

In fact the only Legend I’ve found since the release of public advanced was in a normal mode. I still see way way too many common and uncommon drops for advanced difficulty. Kind of annoying to be honest but…such is the way of gear grinds I guess. Being a Diablo player through all 3 games has conditioned me well haha.

Kinda disappointed that someone from GB hasn’t come out and just told us if the modes do offer different loot rewards or if the more challenging difficulties are simply there for the sake of being challenging.
