for BAR to start showing any good effect , I would venture a guess that you would need a BAR of 30% or more, also I would suggest that unless you have already committed points to all the perks in the BAR to pick and choose which perks you want, leaving the others with 0 points in the perks you don’t want, this way you can push perks like “GUN DAMAGE” up higher
So you need to farm the BAR more, here is 1 link that gives some good ways to do that,

And it does come in very handy, especially with StV
[/quote]True, I just didn’t really want to mention specific builds and such for Krieg yet.
Just be aware that if you want to use roid shields your shield recharge rate might be so fast that you might have to disable your BAR in order to use them…
At first, I was putting points mostly into gun damage.
Then the game started filling up each slot per token with nothing but max health, so I started spreading it out to compensate and to make other options appear.
Gun Damage is now much more rare, but I do see it from time to time.
I can understand that. It’s a good shield for K no matter the build because he doesn’t have any shield recharge skills and two of his actually increase recharge delay.
For the record, the only roid shield I use with the intention of using the roid damage (as opposed to using a roid shield because it’s what Bandit makes for my allegiance build and I gotta wear something) is the Love Thumper, so having shield delay buffed (along with everything else) via BAR is no problem for me.
If any of your playstyle involves taking advantage of roid damage, BAR can be a problem. I mean, you can turn it off when you want, but if you’re standing on your BAR to soften the game a bit but want to use roid damage, you’re in a pickle.
yeah that will happen if you just concentrate on one or two perks, what I have found in TPS at least and I would think its the same in BL2, is to pick out say 11 perks to put points in, this will keep that from happening for a good while, doing this in TPS I’ve been able to push gun damage to around 40% and still have not had it glitch like that yet. unfortunately in BL2 I was just learning the BAR and put points in all perks, would love to be able to do just 1 redo on the BAR perks in BL2
while these are my TPS Stats , this is also how I try to do the BL2 BAR Stats, but in BL2 it is harder to do that because I did put points into all of the perks, so the ones I want to raise higher do not always show up as often
We’re talking about damage reduction, not mitigation. Besides, the higher your DR, the less it adds to mitigation. The Rough Rider says “20% damage reduction”, not “17% damage mitigation.”
