Advice on my krieg build

Good point more RtB never hurt anyone also twitch and nervous blood are awesome since I don’t worry about RtB cycles since I’m also good with explosives/guns.

For a melee build with points into Hellborn Pain is Power is detrimental to your maximum dps while Burn, Baby, Burn is more useful than Fuel the Fire if you take into consideration both the increased burn damage as well as it effects being passive and that FtF’s bonus effect chance do not affect Fire Fiend.

How is it detrimental to maximum DPS for melee?

At 10/5 while ignited you get around 18% increased damage on normal hits while ~60% decreased damage on critical hits.

It has the same linear relationship at any levels: very little melee damage increase vs significant crit modifier decrease.

but, how does the base 50% (100% when on fire) melee increase only equate to an 18% damage increase?

I will do some hell born/blood lust action at about op 4 I guess also I added EtP and dropped blood trance so that hide has about 8.3 recharge delay with my mesley 47k bar on

These values were obtained from testing against Sanctuary’s dummy at op0. I posted these a while ago at the older forums but the page is unreachable, later today I might try getting the real numbers through the melee and critical damage formulas.

That would rule. I just don’t quite understand the actual damage bonus versus the listed skill bonus on this.

Krieg’s bonuses for being ignited or out of ammo/shield (EtR) works the same way, you just add the bonus to the skill’s base, i.e., for pain is power at 5/5 it’s +25% normally while +25%+50% when ignited.

All of K’s melee bonuses are addative, meaning you just add them up, so 500(BxR)+100(RtB)+250(StV) and so on. Because of this, you get dimnishing returns as you get a higher bonus. An example:

Say my melee attack does 100 damage
with no other bonuses I add 100% damage (+1.00 multiplier)
100*(1+1.00)=200
notice that this is a true 100% damage bonus:
200/100=2
now suppose that already have a 500% damge bonus
100*(1+5.00)=600
now I add my 100% damage
100*(1+5.00+1.00)=700
notice that while I still got the same amount of damage (700-600=100)
however, my overall damage increase is notably diminished:
700/600=1.17

From @Wingsday 's post you can see that while the damage mod from PiP is additive the negative critical modifier applies to the whole melee damage (including bonuses from RtB, StV, EtR, etc.).

I’m glad you understand Krieg well too. Nea and Evo don’t regen health when they are down, so thats fine, they are usable.

I wish the dark souls community was as nice and helpful as you guys.

When you don’t have a FoTFH or a RR, an adaptive does a great job.

He mentioned he can’t use a RR. FoTF is a piece of trash.

I am running a fotfh atm its not the best but it works.
Also the evo is an adaptive shield correct if so where do I farm/ buy it I know its a serph
