After "The Collapse": Destiny General Discussion 2.0

So, if I did draksis all the way through, and kept doing draksis (since its easy and you can run through most), its still at the same rate as the suicide draksis?

You’d be much better off just grinding strikes. You get way more rewards.

Well I finally got Gorgoloth down and got the raid boots too for my first non shard/ghost raid drop.

Man this is a hell of a raid though. I love the way they set this up.

Agreed, I love how there do not appear to be any cheeses as well.

Really gotta say. I’m enjoying the year 2 version of Destiny a lot. It’s really nice to have known paths of certainty to get legendaries and even exotics.

Guardians will find cheeses. They always do.

What’s up with Bungie’s logic by making us farm Hadium Flakes when we can just buy all the other Destination Materials with Marks because year 1 Guardians got fed up with running around Scablands for their Relic Iron etc?

They made a whole new patrol area and they want you to explore the Dreadnaught?

Nice work man. I made it to Oryx and we tried the fight a few times to get a feel for it but it was getting late and we called it a night. The daughters fight was cool. Getting to be the torn between guy, doing the platforms and dunking the relic on them was really fun.

Oryx seemed much tougher from what we saw

Making slow, but good progress on my light level. Got it up to 294 last night. Man, I really didn’t realize how freakin’ fun Court of Oryx is until this weekend. Played a good bit of Saturday with some friends and we spent some time in the court. Man, so fun and tons of fast loot too!

Honestly, Oryx felt very much the same as Deathsingers. I ended up running Celestial Nighthawk to help stagger, and fusion rifles work beautifully in this fight since they shred the ogres that spawn, and you deal more DPS to Oryx due to him not having a crit spot. We had the guy with the ā€œrelicā€ stay in the middle while four of us ran to our platforms to detonate the respective bombs, then sprinted back. Lightning/mortars we just ran in circles around platforms. All of us were under 300 light, it took 5 platform phases to take him out.

I haven’t gotten to dive into the raid yet. I’m so excited to though.

Dude, you’re gonna love it. King’s Fall completely blows VoG out of the water in terms of mechanics and bosses. The first time you see Oryx himself is very memorable, and you get aweskme gear along the way.

I’m curious, where in the raid does the gear drop? I’m assuming it’s similar to the other raids in the sense that gear drops after each encounter?
