I build her almost the same. I love shield on all characters, as I play bursty and then recover. With Alani I’ll move foward to get stacks then drop to mid once I have them all. Still close enough to deal damage though
Try it yourself, skill dmg makes reyna, ambra and alani heal a bit more while attack power makes miko heal more.
And yes geyser has a big área of heal(aoh) just try it. And riptide works wonder in meltdown with dot and hot for bots. But seriously i wont stay in the water to get 51 heal max 153 while geyser heals 300. Sincé geyser got nerfed you dont feel in need to only use it to attack (is not a waste anymore).
And heal power is amazing to heal without full stacks, some times you just dont have enough stacks tu full heal (and dmg reduction) but that extra push can save your party.
Everyone is free to play alani as they like, thats why she is awesome you can be a frontliner middle or back with the right hélix.
Skill damage doesn’t do any of that. There’s a reason people take - skill damage Reyna.
Edit: I stand suuuper corrected.
Fine ill take screen shots and upload it, this will take a while.
If I’m wrong (there’s a good chance), I apologize in advance. This might change a lot of people’s playstyles. Would you do me a favor and put it up in a post? I can’t test till Thursday, otherwise I would.
Here it go
Wow, this is odd. Yet again, I sincerely apologize. Would you mind putting this in a topic?
Im recordin a bonus with miko att speed, im quite sure it boost healing ticks
Skill damage definitely boosts Alani’s wellspring healing. I tested it thoroughly and use it all the time.
As neat as it is,her skills still have low damage output. You might sneak in a kill with emergence here and there, or snipe someone off with riptides DoT. She really doesn’t need MORE healing when played right. Except for maybe Kelvin, but even then, he can get decent heal Regen on his own and a 1,000 health drop will save him as well as it’ll save any other character.
Is miko healing ticks faster? It feels like it but i could be wrong
Didn’t look like it to me, since I was still seeing 2 ticks per second. If you really wanted to check, get 10 seconds of healing before putting on a crazy huge amount of attack speed gear (VoZF, VoV, Bola’s; would add up to ~28%) and after. Just count the ticks. Even if you’re off by a bit, a nearly 30% difference should be pretty noticeable.
Well it dosent help
I guess ambra would be the same
Definitely don’t use Geyser. It’s rarely going to be useful for anything but topping up your teammates health in between fights, and even at that you’re going to put your skill into CD. With Riptide, you can throw the skill into a fight and be guaranteed to hit pretty much everybody in it, damaging and debuffing enemies while healing and buffing allies. It’s not for as much, but it’ll definitely hit more targets more reliably. Her Wellspring provides a bigger burst heal than Geyser does anyways, and is a lot easier to use.
After playing her more, I agree with you. Riptide is better. Not as immediate results though.
It’s definitely not as big of a result as far as a single target, but you don’t have to choose whether to use it on an ally on or enemy, so you’re able to to get just about as big of a result but spread over a larger area, and you’re able to do so more consistently, AND you get to keep Geyser in your pocket for when you need it. It’s not as noticeable of a result, but there’s almost no way to miss with it.
