you are out of the fight and able to be damaged for 3 full seconds. i will make a video if i must, but im pretty sure that this has already been established multiple times. her dps is supposed to be way lower than an assassin’s. i wasnt trying to say that she is the strongest in every single category. obviously she cant tank like boldur. i was saying that, overall, she is statistically the strongest character in the game as far as capabilities are concerned.

without question, alani can heal someone like me (orendi or phoebe) to full health from the brink of death in an instant. her stun is unlike every other stun in the game in that it lifts you up for everyone to damage, and makes you take amplified damage during this time. no other character can spam hard cc the way she can either, and hard cc is obviously the strongest thing in the game.

of course im willing to be convinced. they are all very unique, but also very comparable. orendi and mike are very different, yet pretty similar. they fulfill the same role, and i would not really say that one is leaps and bounds more capable than the other. orendi can use her skills more often and is slightly more mobile, but pillars take time to ignite, whereas nades are instant. one burns you before and one burns you after. those are your lane clear champs. they are very unique, but yet neither is clearly way stronger than the other.
ambra and reyna are both hybrid supports. one can have direct health available at all times, while one has to choose to overshield you, with healing later on. they both do around the same amount of damage, with reyna probably doing slightly more. although they are extremely different, their core capabilities are very comparable. that is what i am referring to when i say they are comparable: their ability to perform their roles compared to other characters with a similar role.

alani is also a support hybrid. so she can burst heal, but it requires her to do some things first, which is a great mechanic compared to the brokenness of miko. but being able to burst heal to the degree that a player can go from dead to full health in the blink of an eye is not comparable to the capabilities of any support in the game. no other hybrid support in the game has hard cc in their base kit. alani obviously does. so she can out dps reyna and ambra, has a slow unlike either of them, and has an incredible stun unlike either of them. and her cooldown potential is leaps and bounds above everyone in the game

Actually Alani is directly.comparable to Orendi. Almost the same moves just different effect.

Not quite

She can’t just heal on command like others. She can only heal with full osmosis. Buy since she has to be in the thick of battle to get osmosis, she more likely than not has to use the heal on her own squishy self rather than allies.

Her geyser does hold you but unless the person bubbled is squishy anyway, she can’t really take advantage of it by herself.

Her DPS IS way lower than an assassins. Assuming you didn’t choose all the helixes to buff torrent damage instead of cool down or healing. In which case she stops being a healer or controller to be DPS. She can only do one thing at a time, not everything at once. And even then she won’t match the DPS of actual assassins.

Also she can’t spam hard cc like say Galilea because like Orendis shadow fire pillar, its actually challenging to hit a moving target with geyser.

As for alanis heals the sheer amount of heal is to offset how infrequent the heals actually are. You can’t rely on alani heals due to circumstances. She can’t just throw it out on command whenever she wants.

Her bubble needs a huge rework, it’s impossible to see, or change her helix with the cooldown on hit as that one is better than 3 Chrono Keys at once. her damage output is not that good though but her CC spam is impossible to do anything about. She is still a bit too strong but not as bad as before, and if you looked yesterday, all teams had an Alani and she was almost first pick every time, that shows how good she still is.

For real? You are going to have 1 character make you rage and sell the game? My guess is that you are probably facing off against a good Alani player. It is just ridiculous how many people are STILL complaining about Alani being OP. Ok, then let’s nerf her until she is completely useless why don’t we?! Let’s make her so terrible to the point that people are going to then complain about another character being OP and nerf them to the point of pathetic. The cycle will just continue. Take a break from PvP and go play some story mode. It is a good way to get your mind off of things. Otherwise, just put the controller down and go do something else or play a different game. All I can say now is that I REALLY hope Pendles does not get the same attitude just like Alani did even after 2-3 nerfs.

I was playing last night and a good Alani player managed to keep herself alive in a 1v3 . . . I know she just got nerfed but god damn is she broken.

Alani can be hard countered by snipers and skirmishers since both can get high damage on her and she can’t do much back

Galilea has an instant cast, vacuuming, silencing, aoe skill that also causes players to take more damage, plus much higher DPS AND another instant cast ranged stun. In fact, plenty of people have CC that’s not as strong but is MUCH easier to land AND have the ability to capitalize on it to a greater degree because of their higher DPS.

Definitely. I’m not sure how they could possibly have thought that the extremely minor tweaks to the way a couple of helix mutations worked would have any chance of balancing her out, considering that she still has more in her toolkit than everybody else.

i have honestly given up on that discussion. all anyone ever talks about is what their team was able to do against her. my team finished 3rd in north america in the xb1 tournament, so i think it is at least reasonable to say that i have some small amount of credibility when i say that i have shut down quite literally hundreds of galileas. none of that means anything, though. it wasnt gali that we shut down, it was their composition as a whole, or just the person using galilea. just because me or anyone else can outplay other people does not mean anything in regards to balance. the only thing that matters is what the character is capable of doing

galilea can still tank more than every non tank in the game, and with her shield rivals the tanks. she still has the best cc kit in the game, and regardless of what anyone says about phoebe’s damage, galilea at level 5 with full health and corruption makes phoebe look like poor trash

This much I can agree with. Galilea has been nerfed several times but she’s still broken beyond repair. She can pull and silence with one button press, add a stun to that and you’re trapped in Desecrate taking extra damage, laser beams when at full health and an ult that regenerates health, and a ludicrous 35% attack speed buff at full corruption. Gali is outrageous, I still haven’t played her since beta and wont until she’s completely re-worked. “OP” isn’t the term I’d use, her kit is just too much and every Gali build is the same. I don’t know why she hasn’t been banned from tournaments yet, every tryhard competitive team runs Gali/Miko and it’s a straight out abuse of her broken kit.

Gali isn’t hard to deal with and chances are if you are fighting gali/miko as two attackers you will lose unless one of those attackers is an assassin. If you are running any other tank/miko combo you have the advantage against a gali as she can’t body block him like you could and you focus on miko not gali. Once miko is down Gali gets wrecked. Me and my friend did an Issac/Ghalt combo and took out so many Miko/Gali’s it was ridiculous as once I seperated them Issac just sustain until I take out Miko and we’d 2v1 Gali. Or we’d just counter the combo and just have phoboe,shayne, attikus, rath, melka or any other assassins besides whiskey Foxtrot just take him out or push him back. Gali will soon fall.

But staying on subject, Alani is easy to deal with now. She doesn’t do as much damage, her range is cut down, and she’s squishy. I admite she’s one of the better characters but I have no problem taking her out with the cast, even the best alani’s. The worse things about her now is her CC which I feel she needs as she can really do near as much as she use to anymore.

The bind is for about three seconds

The initial launch, the second + in the bubble, and the initial fall. In that whole time you cannot do anything, which lasts for about three seconds.
