Alani self heal mechanic

I looked through the Alani thread and didn’t see anything for this. If there is already a thread for this, I apologize and please feel free to do your mod thing.

Alani’s self healing. I realize I can look at the ground or look at the sky, but I can’t begin to count the amount of times that I would look at the ground and pull the trigger just in time to have a person or minion that doesn’t need a heal to run by, get their foot in my field of vision (especially since I jump a lot), and eat the heal that I needed for myself (I’m a believer of healing others before myself as support, so that’s not the problem!)

I have no idea how hard implementation would be, but would it be at all possible to bind Alani’s self heal ability to the reload button (“X” on Xbox, square on PS4, no idea on PC) instead of having it be the same button as healing a party member? It would go a looong way towards my overall effectiveness and survivability.

Tl;dr Is it possible to bind self heal to the reload button?

Not a bad idea… I look at the sky and ground.

Binding Alani’s self heal to the reload button (great idea) AND thus if the targetted heal (to another person) suddenly doesn’t have a target anymore then the heal doesn’t go off : but that could be too much asking :laughing: !

Also an excellent idea! I hate wasting heals.

That may not be too hard to implement. They already have that function built in with Reyna’s overshield. No target, no overshield cast.

You quite literally read my mind on every single aspect I was about to post but neglected to. You are 100% right about all of this.

I mean, it’s pretty stupid for a character to look up at the sky to self-heal. It’s getting really frustrating when I heal someone with full health by accident and not the person who is about to die.
