Alani's damage needs to be nerf

this is not true. but even if it was true, it is supposed to be that way. alani is a healer/support. her and the tanks are supposed to deal the least dmg in the game. sadly it is the other way around without exception

Alani’s survivability is absolutely ridiculous! She has more survivability than tanks like Boldur or Galilea. Too many times now have I witnessed the entire team grouping on her and she escapes; or if killed, takes way too long for 5 people to kill her. This is not about skills, it’s about the tools available for her to survive even though she’s supposed to be a support. She knocks back, slows, knocks up and self heal!! WTH!

I said it before, Alani needs a complete rework in my opinion.

This is simply untrue. Boldur has roughly 900 more base hp, plus his shield, which can absorb 2000 damage (traited). Alani’s heal doesn’t come close to compensating for that. Don’t nibble at her, burst her down.

well, that’s your issue… (I main Alani and have friends who play Ghalt) - Ghalt is relatively large, and a bit slower than the other Battleborn - I find hitting a bubble on him is pretty easy if you land your Riptide with slow or if an ally CC’s him.

True but her damage as a support is still to high plus her survivability is way too high.

So either nerf her damage and she gets instakilled like Miko (they already nerfed her max health in a really bad way) or nerf her healing and she still gets Instakilled due to low health so there is no staying power for sustained battles. she is really squishy, especially when playing against Melee Battleborn that have decent movespeed and wide attacks (Rath, Galilea, Phoebe)

Bro she has 1000 health. Benedict has 860 and he’s a fighter. She is not squishy.

I agree that Alani is not really squishy if played right, but I want to point out that Benedict has shields while Alani as Eldrid has none.

She has natural regen plus her self heal.

well, sure she has, just wanted to point out that she has no shields while Ben has them, so its naturally the Eldrid without shields has more health.
No matter her healing abilities there are always more squishy chars than others.
I main Orendi, the fourarmed paper tiger, so I know how frustrating squishiness can be, but its my choice I“ve to take always the glasscannons. So I don“t blame tankier chars for their plus on survivalbility.

After all Alani will get proper patched as soon the Devs are done with preparing the changes. As Psychichazard stated above somewhere her health nerf was just a temporary measure.

Her survivability is not too high at all. Damage is, though. Honestly, I’d rather they put her health back where it was and take away the ability to heal herself. Do that and cut her damage way back, and people will stop playing her like an assassin.

To address people saying Alani isn’t OP any longer. Pre-Alani, my boyfriend and I had a 70% match win rate. If I grouped with one of our ā€˜good’ PS4 friends, we’d usually win about 75-80% of our games. This is with me lagging all over the place, because Australian internet, blah blah. So even with lag, I used to do ok.

Since Alani, our win rate dropped to 45%. It’d probably keep dropping if we continued to play. We’ve lost about 30 matches recently and won less than five. Even grouped with our pals, who are good at the game, our loss ratio is insanely high. if the team has an Alani + one or two strong harasser characters, then we can’t do squat, unless we ourselves play a select few counter characters, or Alani herself (and I’m actually not good at her because of my lag). Our ELO has crashed to a ridiculous level, whereby we get grouped with people about 50 levels under us now. It went from always seeing win in the match history, to always seeing lose. The last time our score was so low was pre-nerf Gally, and even then it was only 65%. We do win sometimes, but those are usually mismatches.

Now, I’m not a great player-- perhaps maintaining 75% wasn’t feasible, sure-- and I don’t expect to maintain it to that level. Especially as the player base gets better at their characters. But for our score to do a complete 180? I think it’s safe to say there’s a correlation between our win drop and ELO crash and Alani’s release; given they occured simultaneously. And I know they’re addressing the Alani issue and are aware of it, I’m posting this for the people that are crying foul and claiming she is fine and balanced and whatnot-- she isn’t. And she still isn’t, because while things are slightly better, and we’re winning more matches since her health nerf, it’s still not balanced like it was before. She still is insanely hard to kill and constantly requires us to play the same combo of characters to 2v1 neutralize her, which we’re doing to the point where I feel I can’t even chose any one else, or risk another loss. Which is severely impeding my enjoyment of the game-- the beauty of it, to me, was that even an oddly-comprised team had enough skills to take on any other team. I don’t feel that’s the case any more. So we’re taking a break. And I was considering buying OW so I don’t have to play another Alani map with out stress and such. And I promised myself I wouldn’t play OW. So yes, it’s driving numbers down, and I actually think it’s worse than the old Gally and Ambra OPness.

Meltdown used to be our best map-- now it’s our worst. I notice the Alani teams on this map are often hyper aggressive; constantly playing team-death-match, seldom going for minion kills, and mostly just trying to get PKs. She often is in our area as soon as the match starts, and immediately goes for all our turrets, and trots off healing herself almost to max health when she’s done. Nobody else can do that with no consequences, not even Miko. And the other day I saw an Alani so brazenly stupid she kept trying to attack the master turrets at the back of the map, because she was frustrated that they were pushing us back to those turrets and couldn’t get the kill on us. I don’t see any other characters pushing that hard or aggressively-- unless they have Alani nearby to back them up. I’ve never really gotten angry in matches before now, and I played open beta with OP Ambra and she was less aggressive than Alani players.

I’ve simply stopped playing as much, because she’s severly impeded my enjoyment of the game. My flist is echoing this when I talk to them, even if they’re not posting on the forum. So yes, I am glad they are working on it, and yes it needs to be re-balanced. I just wish it had been sooner.

They cant take away the self healing without reworking entirely the design, she is a offensive support after all.

They need to nerf the dmg or make the players pick between the cc or more heals pretty much rearrange the helix.

If they touch the self healing she needs to build stack of osmosis out of battle or she is going to be over nerfed like ambra or isis

There are many ways they could do it, for instance, she might heal a small amount when she heals allies (a little more like Reyna or Miko).
