I agree, it’s a balance. My 8 in the mag 2 ammo per shot Max-Out Anarchy only gets off 4 shots before reload so that is faster vs. the Deluxe with 8 in the mag giving 8 shots.
Reload time of 2 seconds is the same.
Really doesn’t make a lot of difference except in mobbing (just destroyed the Slaughter Shaft with the Maxed-out cuz it had rad) where the spare pellets will kill 3 at once.

Ok, this is good news. I will try it out when I get the weapon and see how it behaves.

I actually hate this gun. I end up killing myself more than the enemies.
Just got farming this, managed to get one in Cryo, Fire, Corrosive, Radiation and just regular bullets.
Been having huge amounts of fun using it in an elemental amara build. Linking all the enemies with Phasegrasp and then abusing the “close enough” skill passive with the gun and the indiscriminate skill. Don’t have to worry too much about the reload since I got lucky with the cryo, regular and radiation ones in terms of which reload I have. Though with lifesteal I don’t have to worry too much about reloads on my other variants. Been playing on mayhem 4 too so haven’t just been getting randomly lucky with mobs. No issues with taking down bosses either.
I was farming where the Anach spawns. Found his premobs have a good chance with legendaries. Especially enemies with the Ascended prefix. Tend to at the moment get 1 legendary each run with a Anarchy drop every 3-4 runs, sometimes multiple. But this might be likely due to an event

One could build anarchy stacks on the target dummy in BL2. However, this gun is much easier to build stacks with. Personally, I actually like the 2 ammo per shot ones, because it is easier to rebuild stacks quickly if you get downed and lose your stacks.
Having said that, I haven’t used it on Zane or Amara yet, so I haven’t really used it with life steal. On Moze, it shredded true takedown right up to Wotan, where I wasn’t able to avoid getting downed, and then wasn’t able to build stacks fast enough. A bit of practice and a snowdrift would probably help here in the future, but in the meantime I’ve been swapping to the Lob once I get downed. Still, a very fun gun overall.
One more note, to those who are frustrated with it and self kill too often - some of them spawn with the “shoot me” Tediore reload, which enemies can shoot. This is bad news, generally speaking, as it results in unavoidable downs in many circumstances. Either way, the solution is to use a shock Anarchy and a Transformer, and you’ll heal instead of getting downed. Cheesy maybe, but effective. It also hits plenty hard enough with the right anointments that you can just use shock on everything.

I think that’s just the drop rate there. It seems drop rates of DLC items are pretty high in general. The trade off is the dedicated drops spawn on enemies with low spawn rates and low drop rates, and anointments don’t appear to be weighted to vault hunters. For that matter, class mods drops don’t seem to be weighted, either, or if they are, they are weighted to the wrong VH.
I have, a lot, and it basically means you never die.
Think of the most extreme health-gating example you’ve seen, and Anarchy SG/Life Steal beat that (well, some Grog Sal/Terramorphos fights are close).
Just as an extreme example, once I got one and max leveled, I went over to Wotan and, well, just stood in front of him and fired.
His damage, while excessive, could not keep up with the life-steal from a constant barrage of Anarchy shots.
Played with even a modicum of skill, a survival Zane and a charged Anarchy are unstoppable.

Nice, definitely sounds like I’ll have to try it out on Zane/Amara. Too bad the new class mod for Moze doesn’t work with semi-autos like the Anarchy!

Tried the Anarchy with Amara to day and weirdly I couldn’t get on with it. It felt nowhere near as powerful as it did with Zane, for some reason. And I don’t know if there was a glitch but it kept resetting every so often - I know I didn’t reload manually but every now and then I somehow managed to lose all my stacks. Was very strange

Yeah, had a few times where I lost stacks for no reason. Once was where a co-op player joined and then left, so not sure what the exact cause was, but definitely didn’t reload and all stacks vanished.

How do you know you lost your stacks? Damage feeling? I played it with Amara never noticed that so far
The weird red “shadow” effect around the gun when you move/look around shows when you have stacks, and increases in effect as you gain more. When you lose your stacks, the effect vanishes, and comes back as you gain stacks again.
on ps 4 the visual effect never go away even if you lose your stack by going in fight for your life

yeah that and the fact you’re suddenly not one-shotting things and you’re back to whittling down health. You go from being really powerful to just average with no real explanation why

I take it the last patch did not fix the visual problems this gun has on the PS4?

I was loving it at L57, pre-post modern Mayhem, fully stacked. Now, it is trying my patience at M3+ I definitely have to go find another one matched to the Mayhem. I guess it does say something when a regular non-Mayhem model can almost hold its own at M4!

I’ve used a non-Mayhem one at M6 with Zane and it still wrecks quite well as long as you have the stacks maxed. But you do need them maxed!

Finally got a M8 Anarchy to drop, tried to do a Cartel run with it and it was going pretty well till Roaster showed up - it was a fire Anarchy…

Funnily enough, I had a pre-Mayhem 2.0 version that once maxed out took me through the Cartel mobs with relative ease on M6. Then I came up against FISH SLAP!!! and found out that he’s actually immune to radiation damage in his third, armored phase. I always knew radiation was weak against armor, but immunity was a bit of a shock!
