[All-In-Bear] True Takedown Challenge Run (M4) -Round 2

Bro, do you want runs that take 2 hours instead of 1?

I just said equipped, nothing else. Besides, I’m betting that the Bearcat will be buffed in today’s hotfix so we need before and after videos :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yeah, I have had this back and forth with @boombumr before. I think that if you take Fl4k’s pets with his existing skill tree design and really ramp up the pet damage (like let’s say by 500 - 1000%, or however much it would take for the pet to kill an enemy on its own in M4 without a whole lot of ridiculous gearing), then it would make Fl4k too OP because a lot of the same skills that give Fl4k damage also gives the pet damage, and then Fl4k doesn’t have to sacrifice Fl4k’s own damage to do damage with pets. @boombumr thinks that this would not be an issue, and in fact should be the way that it is done. I can see both sides of it.

Someone pointed that out in another thread as well, that because you get your pet all the time and IB is on a cooldown, that FL4k’s pet damage should not be as high as IB. I see the point but I am undecided on whether I agree.

Sorry if you think I have co-opted the thread, I didn’t mean to go totally OT from your initial post. I just thought it was a good point of comparison between the two classes so I responded.

So I made a couple runs at this, both times I pretty easily made it to Wotan using nothing but Auto Bear / Dakka Bear - equipping an Unforgiven so Dakka would do decent damage. Threw no nades, shot no gun and had Autobear up 100% of the time. So I made it to Wotan rather easily both runs and actually got through some of the phases fairly easily as well. But the second shield of the double shield phase proved very hard to deal with. I got the outer shield down without too much issue but for the inner shield, every time I tried to go on a pedestal and bring out Autobear to shoot from above he would do his mortar attack which would instantly destroy bear. I failed both runs due to that issue. (and trust me my bear health was stacked to the gills)

For now I’m going to let that particular challenge rest. I might pick it up again some day. I did run Slaughter Shaft a couple times which proved actually to be pretty effective. I found it rather boring though.

That’s pretty cool! Shame about the mortars though, but thanks for giving it an honest shot.

Want to add I just ran the DLC 2 in it’s entirety with this build and it went very well. The only tedious thing was Wendigo no weapons seemed to work that well in that fight. Otherwise it tore through everything with ease, never had to wait on cooldowns 1 bear was enough to do all the rooms/fights. I didn’t think the final fight was going to go well until I put on Hell on Rails and it went very quickly with those. Able to hit the final boss for 1m crits on the crystals 500k+ per arm on Eleanor and there’s no real need for healing in this fight so it went great.

yea last week’s dmg buff is rly nice, I run 0 points in blue tree and dual capacitative armatures can nearly gib a shielded badass with 2x crit

need another lvl cap increase so i can pick up deadlines xD

Have you tried any of the 20% chance to spawn grenades when taking damage while IB is active in this build?

No and that’s only because of the bug and I don’t want to keep switching out the grenade every summon otherwise I would.

That’s unfortunate. They really need to fix that

Yea, I found a few Hexes and Hunter Seekers with that anointment. I’m just holding out for a fix.

what’s the bug on the spawn grenades annoint?

It works the first time, everytime. Then the 2nd time it might not work until you unequip it and equip it again.

Sometimes it works several times, but it always ends up stopping and you have to go into your inventory again.
