I’ve honestly never used the Moxxi SMGs besides the Crit. And. Like. Modded ones. But they don’t count. The good and bad touch just never seemed worth it. I have some kittens on deck to try, because I remember I loved my first kitten in…uh…tvhm? Normal? Idk when I did Torgue anymore. It was the first assault rifle I didn’t hate .
Honestly, when it comes to slagging it’s a really weird fight between Hoping IO does it’s job (btw, IO seems to do solid slagging even with Slow Hand, despite me reading once that IO “will never slag” with an all splash weapon? Not important) and wanting to just spray a room purple. If I use a pistol for slag/heals, I might as well Grog. But I’m trying to not lean on those two. Also. I’m mad that the Rubi doesn’t have a Jakobs barrel at the least. A Torment would have been soooooo Moxxi.
I’m about to load up again and see what works and what doesn’t! Time to try things, yay
Also, thanks everyone for the input. I normally wouldn’t be asking questions, but if I’m gonna actually write up and post a build concept, I want to do my research, and research is best done by remembering to look into the experiences of others and building on that. I appreciate this all and I’m excited that other people love the Cha0s Queen as much as I do.

Heartbreaker heals on grenades and melee. Wiki is just useless (again. Lied to me about Yellowjacket too)
Now I just gotta come up with a way to reliably take down Saturn. (Because badlands is my testing grounds, due to the fact that it has a good mix of enemies. And you can build stacks legitimately up into late hundreds if you play it right…or…wrong, I guess…before a big bad. Who is a challenge worth noting).

Would a corrosive Hail over the bus station be out of the question, or is that too cheap? For this I’d prefer a corrosive bone, and possibly a Bee, to speed things up a bit, juiced by Anarchy. The bullet split + Bee + matching Bone + Anarchy = melted mountain of health. It’s still a slow burn, but it is reliable. You can’t slag Saturn and it will be difficult to plan popping the turrets for strategic Evil Enchantress procs, so I think a little cheese is called for.

Well. Let’s see. I have already determined that my plan should involve a shield switch. Keeping the Hide on for a “Boss” I can easily anticipate and absolutely prepare for seems stubborn at best, and reckless at worst. So. Thinking about switching to a Bee to start the fight, and pummel it with an anarchy juiced triple slow hand. Now, I could keep the shock situation I have going, or move on to a Corrosive setup for this particular fight. A Corrosive hail might be nice too. I like using DT as a decoy so I can run around the building while Saturn does it’s thing…but the hard part is getting past the phase where Saturn just shoots at you from the highway. (Which, is only the hard part because I’m stubborn.)

Ironic that the Jill of All Trades com only boosts one gun

Also silly because it’s a Tediore com and Tediore doesn’t make them.
I’ve always found that once I trigger the spawn and jet to the opposite side Saturn will come down and stay down relatively quickly. Plus with Close Enough you’ll land a few even if it stays up there and that’ll usually bait it down to ground level where y’all can dance around the bus station. The arc of the Hail will help you keep the building between you and you can stay reasonably well sheltered.

Now that’s just bonkerballs.
Okay, so, I think with my two concepts for this build, one will take the hail, and one will take the Slow Hand. (BECAUSE now that I’m making a Four ShotGuns Of The Apocalypse build, I’m going to keep the concept strong. Even though it’s an offshoot of the main build.)
Now I just gotta decide if DT survivability is as important to me as the skill points I spent to get him there. Because, if he’s not gonna swing at bosses, that roid shield does so little

In solo play you can swap shields after you summon DT safely, and its doable in co-op too with practice. And you wouldn’t always need a Bee anyway, you could swap for any advantageous shield. My Sharing is Caring Gaige has 4 shields in the backpack, because accessories make the outfit.

Oh, I should point out I actually don’t even like the Bee. I just recognize it has its useful moments. Honestly. If the black hole had even a fraction of the roid bonus of the Hide, I’d never take it off. But it’s not a roid, so I gotta keep it to certain situations. Still working out the details. But absolutely keeping a bunch of shields for different moods. Hell, I’m gonna keep a few coms on deck.
But I’m honestly just in the moment where I’m wondering of maybe those points I squeezed out of other skills to make room for DTShields would be better in other places. If I’m just doing SiC because I think I have to.

I agree. I usually just switch between the Love Thumper, FotF, and the Black Hole. I keep a Bee mostly for Saturn and Uranus (he he, Uranus).

This game has a problem with shield balance. The best roid is also a top tier nova and a damm good spike. There’s no trade. It’s just the best shield for close up offense, hands down. That makes me mad. The best amp shield is also the only amp shield with zero drain. That bugs me. I wanted an amp shield that used the whole shield. High risk. High reward. Maybe an amp that becomes a roid. Those would be cool for Zer0.
Lucky for me. BL3 has MIXED SHIELDS. Omg. So stoked.
That said. My build hinges on a BSS loop with the Hide. It’s nova proc, slash high damage, kill, refill, nova.

You might get more out of Make It Sparkle than SiC. Slag DT and let him run around painting the field purple a d drawing aggro while you sow destruction and chaos at your leisure.

Considered that. Involves a decent amount of lead up, but it could do the trick. Especially on the Not Shotgun version. IO has bee doing a decent job of getting my main target ready for death, but a slaggy slashbot might be helpful too.
Also, with the new cap you can get both SiC and MiS so you can fit the Black Hole in as MiS does a lot of damage already.
A charged DT is as strong as a Roid buffed one imo. Personally, I only use MiS most of the time because my main build is an OC/LBT one.

My build is also OC/LBT, but my big focus is on making claws viable. Without dedicating so much to them that they are the only thing I have. It’s super easy (not easy. Just. Easier) to make claws work when you say “well, I’ll just preshrunk up to the stack cap and claw my way through with a rapier and a thumper, no BSS”. But I’m trying to make them work with a balanced load out (because I like hybrid)
The Peak Opener deserves a mention as a shock-exclusive weapon. Although I think it departs from the in-your-face playstyle that you seem to enjoy. It’s straight-up suicide in close quarters or if you’re not careful (never shoot this gun in small rooms or up stairs…). I’m not sure it brings a lot in terms of DoTs either, it is Torgue so it’s more explosions
Still, I think this may be the best shock-exclusive gun besides the twister, it’s primarily hindered by the risk factor as you gain anarchy stacks. I don’t kill myself at 250 but at 400 stacks it gets a little scary. While gaining stacks as a shock Gaige it is a powerful gun
I’ve been using it on a shock + deathtrap build. With Sharing is Caring & Make It Sparkle for Deathtrap, and anarchy and +6 Wires Don’t Talk for myself. It works pretty well as primary weapon since I hang back and let DT go ahead. So I avoid self-detonation most of the time. It is kinda heavy on the ammo though.

I love. Love. LOVE. The Shocket Launcher. (My friend hears my Gaige impression every time I bust it out and go “It’s a SHOCKET Launcher”) but it’s not a solid main weapon for a claws build (which is absolutely sad making. But don’t worry. I still use it.)
Honestly, while I was still on mods, I killed Haderax 15 times in one sitting just to get a Peak Opener. Because I learned about it and needed it. Because it’s so niche Gaige it hurts. Like. A shock rocket. That drops grenades. That’s literal anarchy.
That said, I did literally bring the slow hand back as a long range weapon for the 4SGotA version, so, Shocket Launcher will definitely be listed in the. The. The. Umm. Sorry. I don’t have a name for my other loadout concept. I’LL GET THERE.

If I may be so bold as to suggest something based on what I can divine from this thread: Electrified Vampiric Razor Ball of Death
It doesn’t really roll off the tongue, but it seems to hit the major points.
