So I always assumed the 50% bonus was applied to any existing elemental dmg you were doing…
Does it add it as free dmg? Meaning if I have zero cryo dmg and I used your shield, it would do 50% more dmg of what I am doing as bonus cryo?
Basically, yes. After your action skill, any 50% elemental anointment bonuses you have will be applied to whatever weapon you’re using. So, if you have a corrosive shotgun and then a shield with cryo ASE and a grenade mod with incendiary, you’ll get the cryo and fire bonuses on top of what your shotgun is doing. It’s a very powerful tool for Amara.
An easy example is if you are using the Dastardly Seventh Sense. On the base weapon, it ricochets one pellet per shot that will come back to your target upon reload. If you have your ASE’s and some other skill tree points ( I forget exactly which one) you’ll get up to five ricocheted pellets after your action skill. And they all do the damage that’s assigned to them. If that makes sense. I guess that wasn’t too easy…lol
Ok I get it…now next question.
ASE for TTB means after the mob is dead and the little bar showing how long your grasp will last goes away…that is when the action skill ends I am assuming.
What about bosses? If I hit a boss does the action skill end instantly? Or after how long it would normally last even though there is no bar?
With TTB, the ASE goes into effect after the bar in the lower middle of your screen is gone. What I do, and many Amara TTB players do, is a fake grasp. Since it resets after 1 second, you still get the ASE effects you have. So if I’m fighting a boss, I’ll grab the air to activate ASE and use the effects that occur pretty much simultaneously. But, you should have your skill tree set up to have as much action skill cool down as possible. This is my current setup:
A lot of players max out Personal Space, but I think 2 points in there and then 1 point in Awakening works better. At least it does for me and my play style. I’m not going to be up in the enemies face all the time to take full advantage of Personal Space.

So with the Garcia, would you say a stagecoach x16 is the same and then the stagecoach gets better x18+?
I like the Garcia because of the mag size. The issue with the Stagecoach is the small mag size. That is, until you land an x21 or x25 one. Those will outclass the Garcia in pure damage. But, I still prefer the Garcia even to my x25 stagecoach.
I like the Garcia but the way I was playing I was going through ammo WAY to fast…but now I will go home and get a shield and nade of different elements and start again.
Once you do that, it should make a bit of a difference. Plus, what I sent you. You’ll be shredding in no time!

I found an inc boom sickle and a shock boom sickle one right after the other and holy crap those things are destroying everything.
I am still trying to farm for a good Garcia but right now those boom sickles are hands down my best weapon for Amara right now.

Boom Sickles are pretty powerful… Hope you get that Garcia, eventually!
You don’t have to limit yourself to TTB to enjoy great crowd control. Stillness of mind will work very effectively for crowd control with phaseslam. Whilst you don’t have the shared damage from your action skill, having the targets held in place by SOM and using a weapon that chains damage (redistributor, brainstormer, Banjo artifact) will produce similar, if not better results.

Yes it’s a fakegrasp setup, but you still use your action skill for key targets.
Here is the gear:
- Spiritual Driver (3 Mindfulness, 2 Helping Hands, 28% weapon damage)
- Transformer (ASE 50% fire)
- It’s Piss (ASE 50% corrosive)
- Greasy Elemental Projector (+20% shock damage, 20% SMG damage)
- Abundant Projectile Recursion (ASE 50% rad)
- Hellshock (consecutive hits)
- Krakatoa (ASE 100% damage)
- corrosive Cutsman (ASE 125% splash damage)
I’ve done something similar. I just wish Fracture could also work with the anointment. Sometimes it’s nice to have that range option.
