The problem is people think every character has to have a high K/D to be good. If they donāt, that character sucks. Community will eventually evolve to know their roles on the battlefield.
Not ever character is about getting kills. Ambra is one of those.
Miko gets kills, you can find a bunch of posts on the forums asking why miko does such high damage with his poisonous daggers as a healer. Some screen shots even show miko getting a dozen kills with no deaths and doing a thousand damage in like 3 seconds. I have not seen any ambra screen shots to this effect since she has double nerfed.
Ambra can still get kills, it is just a lot more challenging and they expect her to be a melee ranged support class what i find most annoying. Ok so her damage is reasonable now, give her back some range and bump up her healing ability and maybe people will start playing her again.
I main Ambra and typically lead In both kills and assists while also putting out a crapload of healing. The trick is her legendary, which generates heat consistently. That, paired with her mutation Radiant Halbred which allows her to shoot fireballs instead of melee, makes her fantastic.
Gotta focus healing, shards, and building to get her levels quick thoughā¦
She is not the worst character in the game but after that nerfs there are better support characters than Ambra.
Give me one argument why pick Ambra instead of Miko.
Lets make a Comparison
Healing: Miko is better! Ambras sun drains very fastā¦
Self sustain: Miko and his Healing mushroom is way better!
Offensive: Miko is better if you can aim! Ambra has higher risk and not that damage!
Ultra: Miko best support healing skill in the game. Ambras Ultra takes ages if it is ready and who will stay in that range, yes only bots 
The Range of Ambras beam is sooo short all tasks are a pain with her.
Healing: Ambra can take a helix to make them stronger and last forever (while beaming them).
Self Sustain: Again, Ambra can have an unlimited health pool whenever she wants by dropping a sun spot.
Offensive: Orbs hit multiple targets, Wind hits multiple targets and charges her powerful melee hits (or fire balls if you want ranged explosive shots).
Ultimate: The ult may be slow but you can trick opponents or entrap them to being forced to be hit by it. Or you can just drop it on a sentry when the shield is low and run.
Iāll take Ambra over Miko any day. At least then I donāt have to count on the Miko actually healing once in a while.

The sun spot drains very fast and it should be not for you. It should be for the team.
I dont say that she is the worst char. in the game but yeah a little buff now would be nice. We already have only two healers atm.
I donāt think you understand about the sun spotā¦ she can use a mutation in her helix that makes it so you can continuously charge the sun spot with her staff beam, meaning it can heal forever and heal multiple people forever (unless you stop charging it / it gets destroyed of course).
Miko is good too, Iām not hating just proving that Ambra is just as good. Also Reyna and Kleese count as healers in my mind, they each have options skill wise to let them heal as well as all the shielding powers they already have.

But where is the advanatge to Miko? Miko can heal as well multiple targets and his healing never drains out. Okay Ambra healing can stay as well forever when you put effort into it but why make the life so stressfull when there is Miko which does the same but easier and safer!

Yes but this really take over a Minute to heal up a player to full life. Then its faster to go to base. Dont get me wrong its a nice skill and a nice Helix but they count not as healer its just a nice āGimmickā.
Easier, Iāll agree with you but safer? No way. I can stand back and hold the line with Ambraās orb, then when everyone is doing ok suddenly dive in and fire bomb their faces off! Ambra is a back and forth player, healer and defense transforms into fiery vengeance when the time is right.
My opinion remains that she is balanced now, really doesnāt need anything (although some range on that beam would be ok).
I have to disagree, I think itās essential to use those choices with those characters anyway so most of the time that should be the focus. Reynaās heals a good chunk (like 200 or something) and the cool down for her over shield is not bad; you can bolster the healing with gear or reduce cool down further. Kleese chair heals 220 per second! And he doesnāt have to do anything, just fly up to you or let you run up to him. I think itās unfair to not think of them as potential healers.
220? So it scales with heal power? The helix thing reads 120.
Maybe I misread it, Iām at work not at home so I was just going from memory. Could have sworn it was 220ā¦ still good regardless.
Her helix heal (similar to Mikoās) is actually pretty good but I think it eats way too much health.
It should eat heat, then health.

Yeah something about that but try with this to heal up a Montana even with a low cooldown it will take too long. They are just no healers in my eyes.

Okay Kleese maybe count as healer with the right gear and skill/helix.

Am I the only one who uses ambra primarily as a aoe nuker and a healer second? Iāve actually built her for skill damage and cooldowns and spam abilities.
lol, I die every time I see these posts. Iāve got a friend that went 23 and 1 last night with her, he always wrecks face while doing a good job healing, but everyone keeps telling me how bad she isā¦ lol heās got clips of him calling his ult in behind a team and then sweeping them all back into it with her solar wind and just wrecking everyone lol.
Iāve never used her but I see Ambraās tanking more damage than Iād think and doing damage on the fly as well.
I think people need to rethink their gear/helix choices from their Beta days cause she can still work pretty good from what I can see.
As an avid Ambra enthusiast I can say thisā¦her range is now a big problem against many characters. Mainly Galilea and Wrath because of their ludicrous attack/movement speed factor, but all characters reallyā¦ Especially those with ranged CC such as Galt and Galilea shieldtoss
Itās almost impossible to take them 1v1. I was playing a cap yesterday where the other team had a really poorly played Galilea. She came for me over and over again, just swinging her sword away. Every time nearly killed me even though it was clear the person controlling her wasnāt very smartā¦
My point is, Galilea and Wrath are a big problem for Ambra if she doesnāt have a team to soak up the damageā¦and itās getting tiresome to assume there will be at least 1 Galilea, Wrath, or both on the opposing team litterally every single match because the most tactically demented players want to use them in an effort to slice through people like butter with little to no strategy or tactical effortā¦ Give a Galilea or Wrath half decent Miko support and you might as well surrender nowā¦unless of course you are sporting the same exact characters 
To whomever it was that said no one used her melee during the beta I did because it was far stronger than the beam like immensely and not only that when built right she could lifesteal to full health. Her ult and solar storm were guaranteed to kill most chars super fast. I think they did nerf her a bit much on the dmg tho.
also to guy who said just catch all of them in your ult easier said than done considering it takes about 5 seconds to explode and unless youāre completely blind is easy as pie to get out of. Solar wind does not suck 5 people in and you have to be super close for it to be effective . Sounds to me like someone got lucky. Not saying shes terrible and cant be played but she definitely isnt as easy as you are making her out to be
