(Sorry for all the questions guys, but you had to know an influx of follow-up inquiries was coming!)

For bot ISIC, did you happen to fix his AI such that he no longer freezes until death after using Omega Strike?

Oh man with all these lore changes we are gonna need Extra load outs again. :smiley:. no my only concern is will everything unlock as soon as download the patch? or will i need to play a match with said character?

Ex. Im at 9/10 with toby on double kills. 21/25 on ambra with alani etc. just curious if everything will get complete or if things will reset or just have you play any match with said character.

You may need to play a match with said character. For authentication reasons, we usually require you to be on a server to process stats.

@JoeKGBX for all those “from 5-9% chance to 15-20%” chances to legendaries, wasn’t 7% the highest? ALL of my max stat legendaries were only 7%. So just that 9% thing throws me off greatly.

Also on the Intermittent Angel legendary, mine says 50% chance, is that a bug?

@JoeKGBX Pretty sure there’s a typo in the patch notes.

You say that Pacifier is going to have the secondary stat changed from Shield Pen to Shield Strength when the secondary stat is already Shield Strength. Did you mean to put “from Shield Strength to Shield Penetration”?

This is more a question for design. I can find out more details here if you’d like.

As Varnell said above, you’ll need to play a full match with a character for the completed lore content to kick in. It will appear to be completed, but you won’t have anything to show for it. Playing the full match will cause the game to reevaluate your data and you should receive the rewards after the match.

For anyone that might run into a situation that differs (as unlikely as that is), let us know here and we’ll help you get it figured out.

Yes, this is confusing. We’ll adjust the notes to match up with the release date of the update. The 20th was referring to the release date for the notes, but we decided to get them out a bit early ;D

That could use some clarification, I agree. I’ve reached out QA to verify, so I’ll let you know when I hear back.

I’m hoping there’s some kind of clemency possible, or communication when it comes to reporting. I never leave PVP matches (heck, I rarely even vote to surrender) or story stuff unless there’s a real life emergency (and for story, I figure leaving is better than going dead stick) but I’d hate for it to happen when someone in my match is the “itchy trigger finger report guy.”

I mean, players with small children, difficult health issues themselves or relatives with health issues may have a hard time with being over-reported, and I’d hate to think someone would get repeatedly reported because the baby is crying and they’re the only one home.

Also, will action be taken against false/unjustified reporters? There are some jerks out there, and right before rage quitting it wouldn’t surprise me if they reported the entire other team.

Just because people life to wine and complain about literally everything, doesn’t make an item broken. Battleborn community is full of babies lol (no offense to you)

Yea, we agree here and this is exactly why we’ll be meeting regularly to discuss reports.

It’s important to note that the aim here is to reduce the number of people who are leaving for lame reasons (can’t play the character they want, don’t want to take a loss, etc.) I would encourage everyone to keep in mind the “real life” factor as @CharacterIV mentioned when reporting. If someone has been good to play with for the past few matches, but then suddenly leaves, maybe cut them (and our review team) a break :wink:

This update looks pretty cool. Attikus still seems like he’s going to be pretty useless. The only thing that was making him good was the stun and now that’s gone lol

I take it the trophy/achievement for Alani is for completing all her lore challenges?

No, an item is broken if the game developers take a look at it and say “hey guys, this might be too good,” or “this thing is working in a way we didn’t intend it to,” or “hey, somebody figured out if you stack X and Y, then Z happens.”

It’s a classic thing in game design. There’s hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of brains trying to break the system, and maybe a dozen (?) brains trying to stop them.

I don’t want to be belligerent, but I really dislike the attitude of “it was released this way, it should stay this way!” I dislike it even more when people say “To change this game element is doing a personal slight to me, because it devalues the effort/time/money I put into getting it!” (I’m not saying you did this, @mikebartowski30, but it is an issue in another hobby game of mine, HeroClix.)

A balanced, fun and fair competitive environment is the A-number-one priority. It’s the only way the game will thrive and let player skill determine success to the greatest measure. Sometimes game elements we love must be lain on the sacrificial altar of Game Balance. It’s in this spirit that I bid a fond adieu to my Vyn’s Quiver slow-shots. (Glad I still have Mini-Singularity Launcher, tho.)

A little bummed about Vyn’s Quiver change, since I finally got one this weekend. Though it also means my new mini-singularity will have more use.

I can also see Vyn’s being helpful for Caldarius, Melka, Mike, etc… Not having to leave the lane as often with Mike will definitely be a plus.

Gonna withhold judgement on buffing the legendary effects to 15-20%. I do like that they were buffed, but it might have been a little high as far as PVP goes.

Can’t wait to get my grubby paws on this patch!

Changed the Legendary effect of the Mag Daemon
Reloads performed while sprinting have increased Reload speed

why did you guys change the current effect of the Mag Deamon(which was 6.08% chance for any non-critical attack to deal critical damage) to what it is in the new patch, if i may ask.

will the disabled Legendary gear be re enabled after the patch goes live?

and the eldrid are suppose to not a shield by default right? if so will there be anything added to prevent eldrid players from using Shield gear that gives permanent Shield to them for the rest of said game?

Heck if they are for any one of the characters I play often ill be a happy sailor. Orendi, Attikus, Deande or Ambra. Already released one for SaA so i’m good to go.

@JoeKGBX Any clarification on HOW Vyn’s Quiver will work, regarding the reload/health_regen thing? It’s quite unclear from the notes. Will regen rate INCREASE or DECREASE with a higher number of rounds in the weapon when reloaded? Is it based on the number of rounds remaining, or the percentage of capacity remaining? THX!
